Wow, that’s a lot of content. Or at least that’s what you would think. Especially for a Fire Emblem game. What do you make of this, SW? I’m hyped for the game but already have a couple RPG’s on my plate. May have to wait on this one.

Wonder if they'll split it up into three separate games again.

I picked up the first release on 3DS. I didnt care for the story elements. Far too many imo. So if thst extra gameplay is extra story, i wont even consider, because how else do they figure 200 hours for a strategy game?

It's 80 hours, 200 if you want to go with the three houses.

they turned the series into Persona like system and mechanics so its bound to be at least 80 hours per play through. How to circumvent that, save at the moment the story branches

Sounds pretty good to me. I’m very hyped this game. It’s not that far away now.

This, and 80 would be plenty. I hope nothing is detracted or excessively repeated for each house in order to pad hours. I'm very hyped for the game.

Hmmmm..... The game will probably make you play all Three Houses to actually get the true ending.

I've gone back and forth on the FE series... overall I think I really basically enjoy it... the problem is I often don't find the time for it as all.

I really enjoy FE but I dislike the crit system. Especially when it costs me a teammember. Maybe I should play it on non-perma-death mode or something, might save me a lot of frustration.

I just hope it plays like a traditional FE game.

We have yet to know whether Three Houses will have non-perma-death mode as found in previous titles.

And speaking of endings, would a character's death be one of several endings?

Define traditional. Because I have seen multiple styles of Fire Emblem

Marth's style of heavily emphasized RNG, with a ton of unpredictability, no weapon triangle, and a shower of units.

Gaiden Style, which is more akin to a traditional jRPG

Geneology Style Which emphasizes scope and scale.

Thracia 776-Radiant Dawn (+Conquest) With a stronger objective focused design.

Awakening Style With its waifus and grinding and infinite reclassing.

@mclarenmaster18: The top selling game of 2019 vs A Persona wannabe that couldn't even stick to it's own formula. Yea, I'll take Kingdom Hearts 3. And I prefer real Persona to a damn copycat smh

I found them to be pretty similar to the formula laid down by Thracia 776. A few differences, didnt change the fact that the series was pretty stagnant at that point.

Marth's style: FE1, 3, and their remakes

Gaiden Style: FE2, Echoes, Arguably Sacred Stones

Large Scope: Genealogy

Thracia 776: Thracia, FE6, FE7, Path of Radiance, Radiant Dawn, Conquest

Awakening Style: Awakening, Fates (Barring Conquest)

I don't understand why you'd play in permadeath mode if you restart a mission when someone dies. Sounds like a waste of time.

Because it still encourages players to plan their moves ahead, rather than play around intended casualties. It is one of the things that made FFTA so lame.

I have both iron manned and reset run the games.

Yep, and Perma-death creates a challenge for the game. Otherwise, what's the point of the game if you keep all your units that just keep dying over?

The game can get tricky, new units pop out of nowhere and can surround a unit you thought was previously safe. Its fun to go back and plan ahead for that.

I also will run back the game with just accepting what happens... you end up with an entirely different squad.

In pretty much any genre of game, if there is a perma-death option, I will use it.
