Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis iOS / Android

Stumbled across this earlier, covers the entire compilation of FF7 and more (FF7, advent children, before crisis, crisis core and dirge). Don't normally play mobile games but might give this a go when released. Thoughts?

Unless it's exclusive to iOS it doesn't have that exclusive attraction FF fans care more about and just another multiplat it might as well not exist.

...sarcasm aside it does actually look decent but I don't buy digitally on my mobile devices. If it came to consoles use maybe then. Honestly possesses that classic FF7 look but without that low polygon up-rez that looks awful on modern systems.

@nepu7supastar7: yeah I'd agree on the switch part. I'm assuming it will cover the entire FF7 as at the end it mentions it will compile the entire ff7 series including spinoffs, no idea if it will be episodic or not.

Please Square, just kill off Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus. Really butchered many characters with these expanded universe stuff.

Im a bit confused by this. Will this be remastered ports of the old games, or do they simply mean that Ever Crisis will cover all those story lines?

It honestly looks like a proper remake for the original Final Fantasy VII. Too bad it's a mobile game.

Why cant this be on Playstation.

@remiks00: it'll be a faithful remake of all of the old games (story wise) and they'll transform AC in a game.

Honestly they should have done this from the very beginning (minus the chibi models, keep the battle models, but eh whatever I'm pretty sure someone will think of a mod for this), this is a far more ambitious but also far more achievable game than the PS4 remake.

Ignoring the Chibi shit (which is lame), if we got a somewhat 1:1 remake in a slightly better artstyle with these games, i'd lay down money. Release the games independently at a reasonable price, and i'd be onboard. As it stands, I may pick this up as a release on the Switch or PC/PS.

I'll check out the game but they have plenty of similar games on mobile already and I stay away from them cause they are riddled with microtransactions. Record Keeper, Brave Exuvius, Dissidia, Mobius (rip), War of the lions.

Yeah the idea of going through the original with updated graphics and episodic content that covers the whole universe is tempting but how do they intend to monetize it and that will be the kicker (oh god if theres a stamina system). Pay for every episode? Pay for materia? Characters, pvp, cosmetics? Only monetization that would not make people gag is probably cosmetics and accessories. Maybe implement a hub area to decorate as well.
