FIFA 21 gets old-gen treatment on PC

Yeah, yeah, I know, a football gambling simulator. But still, I loved to play that game in the career mode. Never cared about FUT.

Anyway, here we go again. I believe it took three years for EA to bring "next-gen" version of FIFA to PC during that time when PS3/X360 released. The PC got stuck with PS2 ports.

Which version of FIFA 21 will be available on PC?

FIFA 21 on PC will be the same version as released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We’ll have more information on it in the coming weeks.

Used to play these games more than I do now, back when they were sports games. Now they're money-grubbing loot box and microtransaction-infested scam-a-thons that ask you to pay $60 to throw away everything you had every year and start over, all for nothing but roster updates and some gimmicks they threw together in six months.

Yeah, don't care. The Battlefront II fiasco seemed to have quarantined that bullshit to the FIFAs, the Maddens, the 2Ks and the Call of Duties of the world, and I am happy for it to stay there.

If you have lads coming over who wants to play a game, it's a decent multiplayer experience.

There should be an option in FIFA 21 to play games behind closed doors for ultimate realism. Rather than the supporter sound effects, they could instead have individual players audibly shouting expletives and hurling abuse at you for missing your shots, tackles etc.
