FF7 is underrated

75% of the time I see it talked about anywhere, whether it be on youtube comments, here or on any other forum, paople talk about how overrated it is.

Or complain that FF fans compare every new FF game to FF7.

So although that is my second favorite FF game (maybe third) I think that game is underrated now.

If people are still comparing the newest games to FFVII, it is far from underrated.

Still a crappy entry in the franchise, regardless.

I wouldnt say underrated. Its regarded highly by a vast number of people, and I consider it personally the best game ever made. Many will disagree though, even more will claim 6 was the better game.

That being said, I like 8. Most FF fans hate it with a passion lol. In fact, I like 8 better than 9.

7 isnt underrated though, for that to be the case it would have to be considered not a great game, when it clearly is.

I'm replaying FF7 now after 6-7 years and I remember every small detail, what character/boss comes next...goes to show how awesome this game is.

10 is a great game, but better than 7?

The characters in 10 were pretty bad with a couple of exceptions, the game was restrictive in a way that 7 was not in terms of funnelling the player in a direction, but worst of all we have the voice acting, and infamous ''ha-ha-ha-ha-ha etc'' moment. It made me cringe.

It was the last decent FF game for me though.

lol at that being the reason 10 is being ported. Its nothing to do with the little work it would take at all, not at all lol. SE have confirmed it is simply a HD port, not a remake. It requires little resources to be done, not the same in the case of PS1 games.

I would also point out that FF7 was the first FF to bemade available to this gens consoles, 10 may be the last.

Those people are in the minority TC. There are way more FFXIII haters than there are FFVII haters. Theres only like 2-3 people on these boards that think hating on FFVII is cool.

I'd put it somewhere in the middle of the series, leaning towards the bottom. it's remembered through nostalgia, not because it was particularly good at much.

The story isn't anything great, the translation was terrible, and the combat is weak.

Final Fantasy VI is the best FF, won by votation doesn't matter if you like it or not. FF X is a great game also, but not the best, FF VI, VII and IX are better

It´s cool to hate on a popular entry/game...they also fear that due to the love for a FF7 remake, a FF6, FF8 or FF9 remake would never even be considered.

Yes, because the only way to enjoy a game today is by playing it with up-to-date graphics and visuals. Like the FF7 crowd, we can't bear to play the games in standard definition on our PSOne's.

So what they dont stand the test of time that well, neither does Tekken 2 or MGS1 but they are still better than half the games i've played this gen anyway.

If you only care bout graphics then you are a sad sad shell of a gamer.
