The video is really old. These search warrants were because of the attacks on Mastercard, VISA, etc and the Egypt situation. This has nothing to do with Anon vs Sony.
what kind of fantasy world are you living in... please share what ever the hell your onK_Lokii was kidding...
I wonder why the FBI even bothered with this, don't they have more important things to do? SAGE_OF_FIRE
I don't think they're sending every single member of the FBI and using every resource they have on this. I'm sure only a small sector of the FBI is working on this, not the entire FBI itself. And I'm sure it's not top-priority either, but simply another investigation on their list.
That and as others have said it's probably more for the Credit Card companies etc. not simply just for PSN.
I don't really think that's for the Sony thing. I think it's more about hacking into government sites around the world, supporting espionage with the Wikileaks things, and hacking into big banks and corporations. Although hacking PSN is also a pretty hefty crime, since they potentially could collect much credit card data.
thats what the FBI wants you to think. They are actually hunting down the hackers to hire them into the FBI and use their epic skills for FBI missionsNintendoNitethis
DDOS will be hard to do anything about, because while they can tell its coming from your connection, they can't tell you did it.
The big thing is finding the instigators. There are probably thousands using DDOS, so that would be a waste of time.
They think all of our base are belong to them" xDNot even Anon can remain anon from the FBI.

sorry metal_zombie (wicked awesome name by the way) the message was meant for NintendoNite.. with his wild exaggeration of the FBI hiring hackers for missionsK_LokiOh lol thanks
I'm betting the 40 with arrest warrants out for them are legit hackers....Using Low Orbit Ion Canon is not legit hacking, but this is funny non the less. On a side note not much Anon are hackers.

[QUOTE="Timstuff"]It's about friggin' time. However, I have a feeling that catching serial killers is a higher priority for them than stopping the DDOS attacks against PSN, so I may be stuck offline for a while... :(tagyhagWhich is a good thing. :PIt is. Still, it would be nice if there were so few serial killers on the loose that the FBI has time to get PSN running again. :(

Computer crime is a huge priority for the feds. The damage they do is significant and widespread, while serial killers are few and localized. Most murders are crimes of passion and you can't really do anything about them except punish the murderers.
That's true of most crimes, unfortunately.
That's what these nerds are dreaming up in their heads. But the reality is the people can care less about their dungeons and dragons cult and just want to play their ps3's in peaceThere just like batman now, fighting for the people and being chased by the law.

That is a very good analogy.
'The hero they need, not the hero they want' (to paraphrase).
The information age has lead us into uncharted waters where our rights haven't been clearly defined let alone established. A lot of points are still up in the air, boundaries haven't been clearly forged. The media corporations have the resources and lobbyists to push their agenda, even at the expense of our existing rights (fair use, first sale doctrine, etc). Its good to know that we have someone pushing back for us, even if they are vigilantes, before these issues are solidified and we find our selves at the short end of the stick.

Hes trolling.
Thats how he enjoys himself, to go on messageboards and irritate people.
Well thats that then. The rest of the Anonz are running for the hillz. Nobody is going to risk a 10 year prison sentance so they can use linux on their PS3s lol. Anonymous is already cowardly as it is hiding behind their name and mask and all.. It's only a matter of time before they completely disperse. Goodbye Anonymous. You failed to achieve anything but making PSN users go outside for a bit.

This is true. If you're sent to prison for hacking and you're a good hacker; you're guaranteed a job hacking for the government.
