Ummm.... You don't need HDMI for IPTV you need the larger HDD, and you can buy that seprately.  Copy protection is estimated to be implemented around 2012 because almost all HDTV sets made before 2005 don't have HDMI, and most of those have older versions of HDMI (NOT HDMI 1.3 that the PS3 offers). Want to talk about milking early adopters? Try spending $5,000+ on a good HDTV only to find that it's outdated 3 years later and you need to buy a new one.

Gmaster it's good to meet somebody that know what they are talking about. Ms knew the hd-dvd player they were selling was going to turn into a dvd player 480p the minute the studio's activated ICT. Now with the copy protection broken on hd-dvd I am sure that will happen soon. No doubt movie studio's are after ms to use hdmi on the 360 after copying of the 720p movies also became common over the component cables.
