I’ve loved all Soulsborne games until now except for maybe Sekiro. I gotta say that Elden Ring is just way too complicated and difficult to learn. I think FROM Software really dropped the ball with Elden Ring.

Elex 2, though not as polished, is a far better designed and far more accessible game. It’s a game that is actually fun to play.

Describe to me what you find so complex. Do you want to be hand held in the open world by an UBISOFT green arrow telling you where to go?

Just wanted to see what's the pos game tc is talking about, and saw that EVEN IGNorance gave it a 4/10, and you have the audacity to compare it with a godly video game known to the human species as ELDEN RING. oof.

i heard there's an exploit to get a ton of runes in like an hour, so they're overleveling the main story and just rushing through it. you gotta be so incredibly dumb to waste a game like this. rushes through this masterpiece and goes back to Warzone next day🤮🤮🤮🤮

FROM Software seem to have catered to the “Git Gud” crowd of people who do nothing all day except play Soulsborne games. They have made Elden Ring the ultimate “Git Gud” game to the point of casual gamers having no clue what to do even 5 hours into the game and then just rage quitting. Sorry, but that sort of inaccessibility makes Elden Ring a poorly designed game.

Funny, Elden Ring is the most accessible From Soft game lol. Complicated my ass, I've seen Vtubers who only played anime games get the hang of ER in an hour.

I’m 5 hours into the game and I don’t even know simple things like:

Where the heck am I supposed to go?

How the heck do I level up?

Where the heck do I get weapons?

How the heck do I summon other players to help me?

All the other Soulsborne games were far easier to figure out than this one. I think the open world design really increases the complexity of the game dramatically. And I don’t feel like watching YouTube tutorials to figure all this out because that’s just way too much effort for a video game. That’s like basically doing homework to figure out how to play a video game. That’s ridiculous and reeks of a poorly made video game.

I liked the original Elex. That company makes some really interesting and engaging open-world RPGs (even if they do score terribly).

Elden Ring is a different beast though. There's significantly less roleplaying, but the action is significantly better.

Also, Elden Ring is the simplest Souls game to get into. It has helpful tooltips, and some NPCs actually have coherent conversations with you.

Elden Ring isn't even hard lol. I'm beating almost every mini/field boss on the first attempt. the demi-gods obviously take a lot more but its completely fair.

Don't compare 4/10 junk to 10/10 Elden Ring masterpiece.

I mean this is just straight trolling. Elden Ring is a clear iteration on the previous titles, anyone who says they can't figure out the basics when they "loved all Soulsborne games" is a fucking liar.

I can understand finding the quests confusing, but having no idea where to go? The game shows you where to go. Maybe you're just too dumb for Elden Ring?

Or is the complaint that it's too hard? That's a weird complaint, seeing ER is the easiest Souls game made so far.

Wtf?

1. Try the beam of light showing the way. Or listen to the first NPC you meet who tells you where to go.

2. The same way as all Souls games.

3. The same way as all Souls games.

4. Pretty much the same way as all Souls games.

Jesus, man.

And this is the reason why I don't hang out with hardcore Soul fans. They can't simply just be polite and could at least help new players but nope, they gotta show off how good they really are. Trolling or not, every gamer is different.

Anyway, I've found that I have mixed feelings about FromSoft's open-world, despite liking open-world games myself. I think the good is enough to sustain some of the areas that feel like a bit of a slog, but I think I like their traditional format more. But I'm not done with the game, and I usually have to live with the experience for a while afterward to come to a conclusion.

Just started elden ring as wretch (1st time playing). Enjoying the difficulty level and it's challenging me. Think I'm more of space scfi gamer so it's not floating my boat totally.

Not sure it's the one as some describe but good game.

That's your opinion. He sees it differently. Like I told Hardwenzen, don't take it personally. Not everyone is going to like Elden Ring - virtually every review that I have read says that. It doesn't mean the game is "unworthy" of it's reviews, it just means that the game does not match someone's tastes in games.

I love Halo games, but not everyone does. If someone said "I just don't like that type of FPS gameplay, or I just can't get into the story", that is a valid critique because it's entirely a subjective opinion. Not everyone likes Halo's story or gameplay.

Nah.

Anyways, not even all that hot on the game, not here to defend it. Not even sure where you're going with that.

Just literally, those things operate as previous games. Even if you hadn't played Souls games, not like leveling up or finding weapons something far removed from how countless other games do it lol. But coming from Souls? Shits exactly the same.

Nice backpedal, but I am not having it. You didn't reply with all of that, you literally started your replies to me with highlighting what he said in his original post - because you did not read all the comments in the thread.

I have seen many gameplay reviews of ER, where the common complaint (or praise, depending on who is writing it) that the game does not spoon-feed you where to go or what to do, you have to pay attention to what the NPCs say.

Sorry, buy you are acting the clown - this is why I usually ignore your posts.

Hey, keep crossing out what I reply if that is what makes you happy. I am done with you - the only reason I replied was a tip to not make yourself look so silly when you post. Since you have proven that is not possible, carry on bro.

He didn't clarify anything, the TC is a troll that you fell for. Your post made no sense.

Bro, stop typing and read.

"

I’m 5 hours into the game and I don’t even know simple things like:

Where the heck am I supposed to go?

How the heck do I level up?

Where the heck do I get weapons?

How the heck do I summon other players to help me?

All the other Soulsborne games were far easier to figure out than this one. I think the open world design really increases the complexity of the game dramatically. And I don’t feel like watching YouTube tutorials to figure all this out because that’s just way too much effort for a video game. That’s like basically doing homework to figure out how to play a video game. That’s ridiculous and reeks of a poorly made video game."

He explains his opinion. Your comments are based on simply not reading before you post, like I said.

Now, stop thinking of what to say next and read the comments before you post. Come on, I know you can do it.

"Wtf?

1. Try the beam of light showing the way. Or listen to the first NPC you meet who tells you where to go.

2. The same way as all Souls games.

3. The same way as all Souls games.

4. Pretty much the same way as all Souls games.

Jesus, man."

I thought you "read all posts", TC is a troll making up nonsense and you fell for it. Literally the easiest souls game to figure out ever. Stop being a clown.

Nice backpedal, but I am not having it. You didn't reply with all of that, you literally started your replies to me with highlighting what he said in his original post - because you did not read all the comments in the thread.

Sorry, buy you are acting the clown - this is why I usually ignore your posts.

Not sure where the backpedal is, TC says he loves Soulsgames then acts like he can't figure out basic things that are in every souls game. All this vitriol and doubling down is just making you look foolish. You fell for a troll, get over it.

@dabear: Just play the damn game and find out for yourself! I myself do not agree with this "get gud" attitude and I know these types of games aren't for everyone. Just saying go play it and that's all I gotta say.

It's not even that, dude doesn't have to play or like these games lol.

It's just OP is talking nonsense.

Every Souls game has you level up at a bonfire equivalent once some intro goal is met.

No different here, sites of grace are everywhere and this is what you see.

omg how do level
