Edge magazine reviews Wario land shake it --- 6.0

I thought the sheep were hyping this game somewhat. Looks like there's the risk of it being garbage. If even Nintendo IP's like this drop their standards now it further proves Nintendo abandoning their core audience? Discuss

Well that's disappointing.

I'll wait for more reviews before passing judgment, though.

I will wait for the IGN...Never been a huge fan of edge's reviews

I think I will enjoy it either way but it comes out the same week has de Blob and that is the game I really want.

Oh yeah EDGE is a little to honest for you I suppose man. Warioland shake is just a repeat of many of the things that made wario master of disguise a bad game. Even with the warioland name this game isn't worthy of it doesn't have the elements that made games in the series like warioland 3 a great puzzle platformer. Edges reviews are more critical in comparison to other sources (though chances are thats a good thing) but there score can only be a signal of whats to come.

Why are people surprised by this? A Wario platforming game has NEVER been good on consoles. Remember Wario World? :lol:

To people saying Edge is harsh: are there that many examples of them scoring games low that scored much higher elsewhere? NielsNL

I can remember Super Mario Sunshine and Mario Kart Wii, both scored 6/10 from EDGE, but received higher scores from other reviewers. Metal Gear Solid 4 was scored 8/10, but many reviewers scored it a 9 or 10.

Not that I think LBP will get a lower score than this title, I feel like I have to point out two facts:

1)LBP hasn't been reviewed yet.

2)We've had titles hyped as high as AAA get scores as low as 4.5.

Edge is often too harsh on many games. Many games I've seen get a 4.0/10 and have me saying WTF.

So.. whatever. I'll wait to see an average of reviews from something like gamerankings.

They also gave MK:Wii a 6/10. >_>SMR-Venom

Which it entirely deserved. :? The game was the very definition of rehash.
