Gen 6 Ubisoft was pretty great. That PoP trilogy are probably the three best 3D platformers ever.

The PoP trilogy is one of my favourite trilogies. Just recently started replaying them on PC.

I wouldn't call them GOAT. Good, but let's not go crazy now.

To be honest they do try new things and end up selling well. Pop was a flop sales wise compared to most of their franchises.

Don't forget Rainbow Six (the original 3 are still among the best tactical shooters out there). Forget the rest of them, though.

I don't know if I'd say they were GOAT, but they definitely used to be fantastic for the Sands of Time trilogy alone. It was right around when the AC games blew up that they started becoming the villains of gaming, along with EA.

EA and Activision gave me a great childhood too, but obviously they are villains now churning out the same bs microtrans buggy etc. etc. every year.

@samfisher56: Those are not early Ubisoft games. Ubisoft was established in the 80s.

The good R6 (Raven Shield and earlier) and Ghost Recon games (1 and expansions) were developed by Red Storm Entertainment with UBI publishing.

It was when UBI took over the development of these series is when they went to dogshit/got casualized

UbiArt Framework is the best stuff Ubisoft has put out.

I'm not entirely sure why they have such a bad rap now tbh - I know their open world games have alot of similarities and they milked the hell out of AC but atleast they gave it a rest and shook things up with Origins. Watch Dogs is a solid series, they've milked Far Cry a bit but 4 was good , 5 will likely be decent too.

They're bringing back Beyond Good and Evil. Rayman origins and Legends were pretty cool too.

They don't deserve to be lumped in with EA if you ask me. Maybe I'm missing something

The problem is that people always pretend AAAs are all we have and ignore the best games.

I don't support Ubisoft big series anymore, but Valiant Hears, Rayman Legends and Trackmania Turbo are amazing games!
