Dumbest game comparisons you have ever heard?

Other day a fellow gamer, I won't call him a friend, tried to make a comparison between Mario Kart and Rock Band. I actually mentally face palmed so hard. The only thing that those games have in common is there are both okay at social gatherings. Other then that .... yeah, he was a moron. Anyway, dumbest game comparisons you have ever heard?

Mass Effect/Any RPG

Final Fantasy/Anything decent.

I find it annoying when people compare Prototype and inFamous.

Aside from them both being open-world superpower games, they have absolutely nothing in common.

Comparing a The Legend of Zelda game to Elder Scroll IV: Skyrim. Two different genres.

Comparing a platformer to a non-platformer. It would better to compare between two platformers, especially if they have so much in common.

Comparing a soccer (FIFA) vs a football (Madden) video game. Two different sports with different rules.

Comparing the sales of an exclusive game (Pokèmon Black & White) vs. a multi-platform game (Grand Theft Auto IV).

Assassin's Creed with Assassin's Creed 2, particular when people rave on about the sequel and dumping on the original. AC2 has polished up the gameplay a lot, but at its core it's near-identical to the first.

A game with action or linearity being compared to Call of Duty.

PS3 vs Xbox 360 graphics.

Not the dumbest, but I'm getting pretty sick of people saying that Metro 2033 and Stalker are so similar. Apart from the presentation and MAYBE the survival aspect (though executed in a very different manner), the games are about as different as the genre allows them to be.

Funny, i did not feel i was playing game, some guys poped up, i shooted a bit, some auto jump and then the game was over, after watching 500 cut scenes ascripted events

That is a game ? Dragons Lair felt more of a game than Uncharted

Uncharted and Gears of War, just because they're both in third person doesn't mean they have anything else in common. Uncharted is more action/adventure while Gears of War is a straight up TPS.

I disagree. The bulk of Uncharted 2's (the only one I played) gameplay was TPS shoot-out sections. In order to be an action/adventure there has to be some form of exploration in the gameplay... Uncharted does not have this. TPS is the genre Uncharted best fits into IMO

All comparisons are possible and while some may be a little odd, you can compare anything to anything else.

It's dumb to say youCan't compare two games...Everyone always says You can't compare X to Y...They're completely different, and almost every time they're within the same genre...By people's logic, you could only ever compare X to X...

Skyrim vs. ME3 is rather irritating. As much of a TES fanoby I am, I cannot pick inbetween the to since they are so different.
