This post reeks of FAIL...No way is PS4 destined for nay type of failure like the wii U...your desparate attempt to put two in the same boat just shows that fanboyism has made you delusional.Â
PS4 looks like its shaping up to be an awesome games console.Does'nt feel like Sony are skimping money wise by the look of the specs does it?
If WiiU fails Nintendo can just make another system, no big deal. Sony however is running out of money in their gaming division. They need to cut costs or do something.
Hopefully the PS4 is a hit, I dont want to see the playstation brand go away.
PS4 : too soon to tell, but seeing how used games are not blocked(at least by the console itself) and it doesn't require an online connection, I'd say they're off to a good start.Â
Wii U : Unless Nintendo pulls out some awesome titles here soon, they might be keeping the Wii U on life support for a while. I've never seen a Nintendo system have such a pathetic launch and subsiquent release ever.

To see the Wii & Wii U sales combined don't even equal half of PS3 sales worldwide is very bad for Nintendo.Â
im going to put   your post in my sig ,  just for the lols if the ps4 does come out and bomb 2nd month in like psvita did  and i expect wiiu to pull a 3ds once new games start pumping inÂThis post reeks of FAIL...No way is PS4 destined for nay type of failure like the wii U...your desparate attempt to put two in the same boat just shows that fanboyism has made you delusional.Â

There both on life support and MS looms over them with its fingers on the off switches. Jack-BurtonMS isn't doing so hot right now either with Windows 8 failing miserably. MS has a lot more to worry about than Xbox and Apple is rocking them right now in terms of gaining market share. They aren't losing money, but they aren't doing as well as you think.
with the entire company on life support i worry about how sony will fare with the ps4. it takes a lot of resources to stay competitive and i'm affraid that sony just doesn't quite got it. :(Â

haha what made up numbers are you looking at lol? The Wii has far outsold both the 360 and PS3. Nintendo will be fine even if the Wii U fails.
I don't know about the Wii U.Â
But the PS brand has been the de facto brand for console gaming since the PS1.Â
If PS4 fails, then that would mean the death of console gaming as we know it.
I don't think Ninty or Microsoft can carry that mantle.Â
The Wii U seemed like a poor idea to me and ill fated, I think the PS4 will do just as well or a little better then PS3, no big difference there.
Wii U and nextbox seem to be destined for failure. Sony has been 1st place 2/3 generations they've been in, will be 3/4 soon.

But who was king before the Playstation? Hell, the thing owes it's very existence to Nintendo.
Sony will not survive if they cannot keep the price below 500, and until the wiiu is priced at $180, it will remain dead. Nintendo will never again be the primary system in anyones house, like the nes, snes, and n64 was. 350 is just way too much for a second system.
One thing is for sure, there seems to be alot of people excited for the PS4. Never saw this kind of excitment for the WiiU or even for the nextbox.
But then again, it also seemed to exist alot of excitement for the Vita... especially after the price announcement
Wii U maybe getting a modified version of Deus Ex human revolution, that may stop them from turning of life support temporarily. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/394108/deus-ex-human-revolution-re-classified-in-australia/ Jack-Burton
I dont think DE:HR will be a system seller, especially when it was being sold for $7 on PSN a while ago
Its not just visuals that matter to me (as a PC gamer I really couldn't give a damn about them) but in terms of raw processing power and what it can handle the WiiU just doesn't cut it for me.WiiU seems ill fated because everyone and their dogs want High Tech Visuals in their games.Â

I had doubts about the Wii-U (the system itself) from the day it was revealed. Everything about it seemed like a bad idea, even down to the confusing (to average consumers) name.Â
With PS4, Sony pretty much nailed it in terms of being a "smartly designed" system that gamers should want. However there is no gimmick to it, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. The Wii was a hugely successful gimmick with it's motion controlls. The Wii-U fell flat on it's face with tablet controller and confusing name. So it will be interesting to see if a "straightforward" gaming console with no gimmick can again have success in the post IPAD world. If the PS4 flops in the market, then I would expect console gaming is pretty much doomed and that the "masses" have sadly moved to mobile or tablet gaming - the next evolution would be for console makers like Sony to just partner with Google (Android Market) or Steam (or both) and make devices that truly are living room PC's - but "console gaming" as a closed platform would be dead.
I actually already had hopes that Sony's PS4 box was actually going to be the rumored steambox (i.e. that PS4 would be linux based, and fully functional with Linux steam and all the linux based steam games as they make them compatible) How perfect would that be?
This entire industry is having huge problems and adding more hardware to the equation will only make things worse.Â
Sony can see the money with the PS4, just like the PS2 days. Most people are backing the PS4. No more 1 year late launch over M$.
All win for Sony.
Not as ill-fated as Durango
4 is my lucky number so guess what I'm buying later
Edit : And with this post, the count is 44 woot

I love how people claim that PS4 in no way has any possibility of failure. Any console can fail...for all we know the launch games are going to be terrible and it won't recover fromt he launch price. Who knows? Stop making assumptions...
Puckhog04
Dude PS4 launching with the online heavy Killzone SF, Watch Dogs, Assassins Creed IV. Probably also with Infamous Second Son and DriveClub. Followed soon by the Witcher 3 and Battlefield 4.
I dont remember launches like this before. And thats nothing... more confimed launch games at E3.

As in what?
The OS is not as bad as people like to say it is, besides there's supposed to be a Spring update that is supposed to help out with that soon.
If this is something like you want a lot of things happening at once in the screen then why did you say visuals don't matter?
in the end it just seems like the only thing stopping some people from getting a WiiU is simply put, it's not graphically heavy.

WiiU actually had decent Launch Title Games compared to previous generations.
To compare PS4's "launch line up" WiiU got Call of Duty Black Ops 2, ZombiU, Assassin's Creed 3, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, Darksiders 2, and Tekken Tag Tournament 2.Â
This is almost exactly a mirror of what you just said safe for the fact the PS4 is one year later.
