Do you want Half life 3 to be VR or traditional game?

Traditional, but that’s only because VR makes me violently ill.

Why not both? I personally love vr, and Alyx is phenomenal. I do understand it isn't for everyone though, so handling it like RE7 with 2 different modes would be a good idea. If I could only have one, I'd prefer vr though. I've played traditional fps to death so vr actually adds to the experience for me.

I want whatever game Valve is actually willing to and going to make. I don't want Valve to piss off another 13 years before deciding to finish this story arc.

I want every game to be build from the ground up for VR. Traditional gaming has now been relegated to AC, CoD and UC clones mostly.

There were PC/console /traditional FPS first, then alyx came as VR FPS as killer app but remain inferior to traditional FPS.

Half life 3 without mouse and keyboard control, without arms, without HEV suit is not Half life. let this remain in spinoff.

Good things is not all VR games are on rails. HL is a prime example.

Traditional. However, I understand why Valve might not want to make it. Expectations would be through the roof - almost impossible to upheld. However, this is also mostly their fault for waiting such a damn long time.

VR, hopefully it supports both so people who get sick playing VR games can also enjoy.

I want a new traditional half life game, dont care about wearing headsets with hand and head motion. Would prefer a normal Half life game with kb/m

There should be an in between where you can use the VR controls on a flat screen like motion control games.

I wouldn't mind too much either way though Id prefer a proper sequel to HL to be non VR. If Valve make spin-off VR games like they did with Alyx ill be very happy with that, or even proper VR implementation for HL3 so I can can play through it both ways.

HL won't be returning to traditional screens. VR is the future.

Half life is game the revolutionize PC FPS genre, revolutionize KB/M controls in FPS.

otherwise its worse than transfering to consoles because atleast console shooters are not rail shooters, cant say same about VR shooters that loss arm and feel like cheap on rail shooters.

now i wont mind if they made another HL spinoff starting Eli, but main Half life starting gordon freeman must be traditional FPS.

They should offer both. Would be a great way to get people to want to try VR.

Why do people keep calling Alyx a spin off? It's integral to the story and sets up Half Life 3

Traditional game with a console version otherwise I’ll likely never play it. Not that I really care all that much to be honest as I find the Half-Life games are kind of overrated.

With that said, if they want to do what they did with Alyx again, I am fine with that. Game is nothing short of brilliant. Totally immersive.

I’ve watched some gameplay for the Alex title and it doesn’t feel like a HL game other than the atmosphere. There’s far too much collecting and scavenging and less combat to feel connected to the franchise. Valve really missed an opportunity here but they have garbage hardware to sell I guess.
