I am not saying that Sony should make a Super Smash Bros game, I'm asking if you think Sony has enough gaming characters to make that style game.
This topic is locked from further discussion.
There are a ton of Siren characters they could choose from. Probably at least the main in the original.
why do you want them to make Super Smash Bros style game with moveii controller ? just get a wii insead.Leo-MagicIf he doesn't want to he doesn't have to. Heck why not a Kinect (or normal controller) Smash Bros. with Marcus Fenix and Master Chief. Think about the possibilities.

Seriously this would be amazing.
Kratos
NAthan drake
Cole
Snake
ratchet
clank
Demon's souls guy
Sack BOy
sack GIrl
Raiden
Vamp
Dr. Nefarious
Killzone: helghast
KIllzone: Rico, or Sev
Resistance guy
Last Guardian kid (lol)
Sly
Jak and Daxter
Dragon from Lair
The girl from Heavenly sword
PLus add extra characters that are on other consoles as well.
add more lol ran out of characters.
They probably could with a good developer and the right balance and ideas.
Then they could probably make a Mortal Combat type game with all the other guys and gals- Kratos , Sweet Tooth , N.Drake , Cole , Gabe Logan , Nariko , Kai ,Bohan , Radec , Rico , etc and some cameos. Who wouldn't want to decapitate Rico ?
A good majority of them wouldn't work. Drake, Kratos, Nathan Hale are some of those few.ArisShadowsif Snake, Samus, Ganondorf, and Pit can be in the same game as Mario, Pikachu, Mr Game and Watch, Captain Falcon, and Fox McCloud then I don't see why you could make Kratos fight Daxter.
They have more then enough. They could just do what NINtendo does and pull characters from games which havent been updated in gens.
Spyro The dragon
Crash Bandicot
Jak
Daxster
Rachet and clank
Cloud
Sephioth
Solid snake
Nathan Drake
Nathan hale
Sacboy
Kratos
yuffie (ff10)
patapon
Sweet tooth
Aya Brea
Gex
Cloud, Sephiroth, Gex, Sweet Tooth, and a few others from that list are 100% third party characters. They have more then enough. They could just do what NINtendo does and pull characters from games which havent been updated in gens.

They have enough sure. But the cutesy characters like Crash and Spyro that would work well aren't Sony's anymore. Don't get me wrong, I find Snake fighting Bowser in SSMB to be hilarious looking, but I think watching Drake fight Kratos would just make me sad.
Although I will say, I like when other people use character skins in Uncharted 2. Seeing Cole fight a Chimera or Hale fight a Helghast has always been entertaining. But a beat em up type fighting game in the vein of SSMB? No. Please no.

They could still be used. They are more well known as Sony characters, kinda in the same way that Solid Snake is.

Solid Snake has been on NES, Game Boy, Gamecube, Wii, Xbox, PC, mobile phones, iOS, arcade, and MSX. Plus the Metal Gear series is coming to Xbox 360 and Nintendo 3DS. Anyone who thinks of him as a Sony character is incorrect.[QUOTE="Master_ShakeXXX"][QUOTE="savebattery"] Cloud, Sephiroth, Gex, Sweet Tooth, and a few others from that list are 100% third party characters.savebattery

Anyone who thinks of him as a Sony character is incorrect.Yeah, obviously. Just saying he's more RECOGNISED as a Sony character. People know he's not Sony exclusive but just feel he's Sony's character in spirit. Get what I mean? Same for Lara Croft and Crash Bandicoot. Both multiplat characters now but remembered as Sony characters.
SEGA would be a better choice: Sonic Tails Knuckles Shadow Robotnik Amigo AiAi Joe Musashi from Shinobi Hotsuma Oboro from Shinobi Max from Shining Force Ax Battler from Golden Axe Vectorman Jack from Madworld (I know Madworld is from Platinum, but SEGA published it) Keil and Jean-Luc and some dragons from Panzer Dragoon Alex Kidd Bayonetta (see Madworld) Altered Beast Akira Yuki from Virtua Fighter Jacky Bryant from Virtua Fighter NiGHTS Billy Hatcher Pepper from Clockwork Knight Sketch Turner from Comix Zone Beat from Jet Set Radio Ecco the Dolphin (probably not as a playable character, but whatever) Agent G from The House of the Dead Ristar Ryo from Shenmue Ulala from Space Channel 5 Axel from Streets of Rage ToeJam and Earl Kazuma from Yakuza That would be awesome.savebattery
I would pay money for a Smash style game that had a roster like this. I would also add these characters to the roster.
Robo and Mobo from Bonanza Brothers
Alis Landale from Phantasy Star
Nei for Phantasy Star II
A character from Eternal Champions
Vyse from Skies of Arcadia
Kid Chameleon
Shion from Wonder Boy in Monster World
Arsha from Monster World IV
Honestly, its a shame that Sega has never made a Smash Bros style game. With such a rich history and a large backlog of characters, they could do an excellent job with a game like this.
