Do you think Nintendo will make switch consoles forever or there is

A brand new concept for the upcoming console?? I hope for a new console, but I believe it’s the former.

Nintendo will make it a hybrid like the Switch so they can cheap out on components because they can use tech from yesteryear on the cheap then sell it for a stupidly expensive price, and people will eat it up just like they did with the Switch.

Nah. Forever isn't Nintendo's style. They like to change things up. Unlike Sony who just follow the same formula and number it every gen. PS5 sounds stupid. They need to get rid of the numbers to say the least imo.

I think they will continue with the hybrid concept for the time being, but with a new gimick added in. Like it monitors your pulse when you press the 4K buttons or whatever.

Whatever they do, the quality of the games will be fantastic, as always.

For their upcoming system, if the latest rumours are to be believed about the dev kits, it looks like it will be a switch 2 rather than something different. It talks about an LCD screen and carts for media so those are strong indicators of a handheld/hybrid.

The exact make up of it though is still a mystery.

Will they do this forever? Probably not. It works now because the switch has been hugely successful. But what if a future version fails and only pulls in Wiiu numbers? All their eggs are currently in one basket. Very risky.

They are dipping their toes in some other things too though. The Mario movie made a few quid so we will probably see more of that kind of thing too.

I honestly don't see them going back to a traditional console. Hybrid is the way forward for now.

That being said, I do see them perhaps making more accessories to vary the type of experiences on the console.

it would be great if nintendo did a complete 180 and pissed off all the switch fans. Just went back to a console, something like the virtual boy, but with a real VR helmet..pushing us all closer to sword art online

Nintendo is very confusing to me at times, but I think they'll go with what sells well. Since people bought more of the Wii and Switch than all their other machines they'll make those until they stop selling.

Nintendo did state they see the switch as a 10 year plan. Switch 2 will probably launch mid 2024 and be on the market alongside the switch.

I hope they go back to traditional consoles becuase I ain't buying a switch (or a similiar device) ever again.
