My older brother started me off with Daggerfall and Wolfenstein 3D.

Am I hardcore now?

mjarantilla

Daggerfall? Psshh, that means you started after 1996. Ye're a lightweight, laddie.

I remember playing Commander Keen, Wolfenstein 3D, and "Daggerfall" in my brother's dorm room, and he graduated in 1994.

So I must not have been playing Daggerfall OMG!!1! :o This is going to drive me nuts until I figure out what game that was.

Ah yes, I remember when I was a little tyke, my Dad bought one of the first Apple PCs for consumers. He had this one gorilla game where u would throw bananas across the screen and try and hit the other gorilla. Pretty fun if I remember correctly.

I started gaming with Alttp on GBA, I was one of the few who actually got to play Four Swords, I played with 2 friends and beat the palace of the four swords. Last time I played Alttp I stopped on the semi final dungeon because I found it too hard.

The Elder Scrolls Arena, Ultima Underworld II: Librynth of Worlds or Lands of Lore: Throne of Chaos. These are the only games I remember that were released near 1994 that resemble Daggerfall.

Cant remember the year but it was my cousins N64 that did me in. Super Mario 64, Pokemon Stadium, and Ocarina of Time were too much for me to resist.

Started with Tetris and Super Mario Land on the Gameboy in 1991. Soon after I had both SNES and Sega Genesis, but my older cousin abused the SNES to the point where it ceased to play games, so I pretty much grew up on Genesis and Gameboy for the most part.

Believe it was 1991 or some such when my dad brought home a C64 one day. Tons of games, all of them pirated, but I don't think anyone was aware of that back then. Falcon Patrol was the first ever game I played. Didn't like it all that much. Rampage, Who Dares Wins, Tapper, Gunsmoke and Ikari Warriors pwnzored it. There was also this detective game I continued playing despite never figuring out what the hell to do.

The theme for Gunsmoke is the best theme ever btw.

Its really kinda hard to list my first main game, it would probably be something in the Mario series. See the probably first game experience would be Super Mario World within the local wal-mart. God, I would play that alot, my first console would be the NES, I got it the time of N64/PS1. Yes, I know I was bit behind, but even the plastic box was great, loads of fun. I played the heck of the NES, then after starting to catch up with consoles wises and early day PC.

I remember my first time playing a game...It was on the Atari; a police and robbers game where one player would be the police and the other would be the robber....you'd run up and down escalators and stuff to get away from eachother and once the robber was cought the roles would switch....
However, although it was a good past time back then, I didn't truly appreciate gaming until my cousin brought home his genesis along with super street fighter 2, Kid Chameleon, Sonic the hedgehog and golden axe....
That was the day that I really started to appreciate what a wonderful thing gaming was and could be=)

I played Boulder Dash and some other games on my cousins' C64, and few days later we had one home too. And naturally one of the first games we loaded in with my brothers was Sex Games 2. :D Which our dad then confiscated... To this day I still don't know where that cassette is...

Can't remember the years. But i started off on handhelds, Game Gear (a lot of Shinobi) and Gameboy (a butt-load of tetris). Shortly after, i somehow got a Mega Drive with Sonic, Mickey mouse, TOCA, etc and my uncle bought the SNES Street Fighter II bundle. That was when things got crazy - Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Super Probotector, Super Mario Kart, Super Bomberman 2, Donkey Kong Country, Micro Machines, Killer Instinct, Super Mario All-Stars, Super UN Squadron, Super Mystical Ninja etc. as well as imported games (using adaptor or action replay) like Dragon Ball Z, Pop N Twinbee, and other obscure Japanese titles (a lot of side scrolling shooters, mechas, anime-inspired games).

It eventually went on to PS1, N64, PS2, GC, XB, etc. A lot of my best gaming memories involved 3-4 players on the Nintendo machines, especially the SNES with the Hudson Multitap and the N64. It was around the GC era when people started going off in separate ways or just not gaming so much anymore: it's a shame, but life goes on.

I was 4 or 5 I guess.
First games: Super Mario Bros 3, Captain Skyhawk, Kid Icarus.

There hasn't been a single game that topped Super Mario Bros 3. Well, Galaxy got close though.

My bros had an NES and they wouldn't let me play it no matter how many times I tell my parents, they wouldn't share  I only get to play a little bit of Mario and they take it away from me. Then when I moved, I got a Sega Genesis bundled with Sonic and it was all for myself. I didn't let my older bros play it until they do something for me.

I played Sonic for hours and after school even Sonic 2, until I beaten the game. But then my genesis died  so in the next christmas my parents bought me and all my bros a SNES with All-stars & Super Mario World and it brought me and my bros close together.
