I see it a lot nowdays and i wonder what will make you own the same game for PC & PS3... (or 360, or any other system)?
Isnt it a waste of time?
Do you have any games like that?

Nope, I dont see the point. Only time I have ever considered doing so was with Borderlands and maybe another one. Just so I could play with my friend on PS3 (I own it on PC). But still never did buy it for both.
I own multiple copies of Age of Empires 3 (because I bought the complete edition for the expansions).
Multiple copies of F.E.A.R (because I got a free copy with the F.E.A.R 2 collector's edition)
and Multiple copies of Alpha Protocol, Medieval 2 Total War and Condemned: Criminal Origins because I got free copies of all of them from a Digital Distribution site when it first launched.
Oh, and I own both the N64 and VC versions of Majora's Mask, because my N64 broke.
Angry birds, world of good, gravity and more games for both PC and iPod touch.
FF1 for NES, GBA and iOS.
FF7 for PC and PS1.
I have a lot.
like Yoshi's Island (GBA and SNES)
Megaman Zero (GBA and DS)
Super Mario Bros. (NES, SNES, Wii)
Super Street Fighter IV (PS3 and 3DS)
you know...

Resident Evil 2 - PC/Dreamcast/Gamecube
Resident Evil 3 - Gamecube/Dreamcast
Resident Evil 4 - Gamecube/PC/Wii
Resident Evil 5 - 360/PC
Resident Evil Code Veronica - Dreamcast/PS2/Gamecube
Also a few more game series :P
Not anymore. I did have the first Ghost Recon (it sucked) for both PS2 and PC. I have my original copy of Final Fantasy 7 still in good condition. I plan on getting it again on the NGP.
What made me do this, you ask. Well with Ghost Recon, I got it for the PS2 before I got my first PC. Then I got it again on PC for multiplayer. As for FF7. I don't have a PS1 anymore and it looks bad when played through a PS3 on my HDTV. That and I just want a mobile FF7. Will be nice to play on the go.
- Team Fortress2 - MUCH better on PC, although I do have it for 360 to. GOt a new pc around that time and I only had the xbox version, next day I bought pc version, so glad I did to :P
- NBA2k11 - It was only 19$ on pc so thought I would get it to go with xbox version.
- Left4Dead2 - Got the xbox version later on so I could play it with one of my cousins that doesnt have pc.
- Ghost Recon 1 - One of the best shooters ever imo, had xbox version and PC version (expansion packs to). Wish we got more games like this one!

The only game I own for two systems is BFBC2. I play on PC but sometimes play with my brother on 360.

[/QUOTE Yep. I own NBA 2k11 for both ps3 and 360. It's not a waste of time for me because I have friends on both systems that I like to play with.I own Fallout New Vegas on 360 and PS3 and plan to buy it on PC
I own Mass Effect 2 on 360 and PS3
I own Mass Effect on 360 and PC
I own Assassin's Creed Brotherhood on PS3 and PC
...etc.
Rather than play through the game on the same system, I like to switch it up and get Trophies on one and Achievements on the other
I have never owned a copy of two games on different platforms, and unless it's a game from this generation with separate online communities, or is for collection purposes, there really is no need to.
I have the following list on both Xbox360 and PS3:
maybe one or two others but.....
Sometimes, I'll pick up a game on PC, realize I'd have more fun playing on my PS3, and re-buy it on PS3. Other times, I'll pick up a game on PS3, realize the PS3 version is utterly awful, and re-buy it on PC. Beyond that, occasionally I'll pick up a game I've already played on PS3 on a Steam sale to see what it looks like on my PC.
For the most part, however, I only have time to play a game once, so I don't need two copies.
I have the following games on multiple platforms:
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 for Gamecube and PS2
Sega Genesis Collection for PS2 and PSP
Sonic Mega Collection for Gamecube and PS2
Soul Calibur II for Gamecube and Xbox
WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2007 for Xbox 360 and PSP
REmake on Wii and Gamecube
Resident Evil 4 on Wii and Gamecube
Ocarina of Time on Virtual Console and Gamecube (Zelda Collector's Edition disc)
halo for xbox and PC.
riddick for xbox and PC
HL2 for xbox and PC
Doom 3 for xbox and PC
MW2 for xbox and PC
soon to be BF3 for 360 and PC.
