Do true FF fans own a PS3?

And on another note, people like the TC are going to be very dissapointed when Versus goes multiplat. Sqaure are using 13 on the 360 as a test. If it sells well in NA and EU, you can bet Versus is jumping ship too.

Possibly, and if it's a good game, then I hope so. If it's a bad game then Square-Enix will just be continuing down a road they've been on since the merger.

Let me be blunt since I have class soon:

• The junction system is unbalanced
• drawing magic was a chore and ridiculously tedious
• Not being able to skip the GF's to make the attack go faster
• The gil system was terrible and I hated the idea of an exam in order to gain more gil
• upgradeble weapons I thought was a dumb idea poorly implemented
• The characters were not memorable except for Squall and Laguna
• The plot twist was stupid
• The villains were not as memorable as other Final Fantasies
• monsters leveling up with the character
• The story ws interesting until the later portion which I thought was a mess

Pretty much, though the series' presense on sony consoles the past two gens was definitely a factor in me going with the PS3.

real ff fans own a super nintendo and psx, because those are the only consoles you need to play the good final fantasy games.

And wasn't FF XIII an PS3 exclusive for a few years before Square Enix made it multiplat? If XIII is successful on the 360, you better believe Square Enix will find a way to make Versus work on the 360.

Also, Nintendo is probably the one that's getting the most Final Fantasy love this generation. The DS has seen about 8 Final Fantasy games(Two of them from the main series) and even the Wii has seen a few spin-off titles.

Truefans of any franchise are happy when as many people as possible get a chance to experience the games that they love.

Somebody who cares more about the game series than the platform. Like those who followed it from Nintendo on to Sony. And from there, where ever it goes.

The same could be applied to any franchise - Metal Gear, Tomb Raider, Castlevania, Dead or Alive, etc...

To be honest, the main reason why i bought the ps3 was for Final Fantasy XIII :P.. so yup im so playing the games on ps3..cant wait for them

Lost Odyssey is a good JRPG. The story and main villain was kinda lackluster though. I would say it was definetly better then FF12. The older FFs were definetly the best, loved the SNES, PS1 era JRPGs Square made. All of them were epic. Final Fantasy, Secret of Evermore, Secret of Mana, Super Mario RPG, Xenogears etc., the list goes on.

Some of the flaws I pointed out are from my experience and can be considered subjective. For example you can like the story and characters but I don't.

However, the "maturity" statement is not a statement one should say one person does not like the game. I own it but just because I didn't like the game at all, doesn't mean I'm not mature enough to get the story. That's like me saying if you don't like FFIX, ten you're not mature enogh to like it and understand it.
