Sorry if this has been beaten to death but I just find that absurd.  These people feel as if some great injustice has been done to them, but instead it's them that are injust.  They're just acting selfish and childish.  What did Capcom do wrong?  Nothing.  It would be one thing if they weren't making it for the ps3 or were discontinuing a beloved franchise, but they are doing neither.  All they are doing is making a praised game more widely available.  How is that unfair or unjust?  At no point were they ever under contract to these people.

Someone explain this to me.  Because all I see is a bunch of selfish and childish fanboys making an absurd and ultimately fruitless online petition.

most of the petition signatures are jokes, some of them about kangaroos.

most of the cows crying about it are just worried the game will get downgraded for the 360 and pc..guess nobody actually read the article because it clearly states the 360 version will be made only focusing on its hardware.

Like a company would listen to a petition. Most everyone who "signed" it will just break their word and buy DMC4, and there is a far larger installed base for the 360 right now than the PS3 anyway.

No company in their right mind would say, sure, we will spend all this money to develop a game, but we only want to sell it to a potential audience of 2-3 million (PS3 only), instead of one that is 12-14 million large(PS3 and 360 combined).

Responding is not rescinding. They would respond, but most companies are not willing to forgo millions of extra sales to appease a few thousand fans.

He continued, "At the same time we feel that allowing more people access to our content pleases far more people than it displeases (after all, we're not denying DMC4 to anyone that was already going to get it). It really is the best decision for the company and for consumers." He later locked the thread, stating that it had "run its course, gone off course, rolled down a cliff, hit a cow, and then exploded."

Capcom senior director of strategic planning and research Christian Svensson

psh, yeah, he really sounds like he's regretting it

oh im not saying capcom will actually listen to it. what they are doing is a great move, but by just them responding to the petition and explaining for the second time why they made the change..gives me the feeling not everybody at capcom agreed with the game going mutiplat..

Same here, I think this is just stupid. I mean they're still getting the game, it's not like Capcom switched exclusivity to the Xbox 360 and PC. This is just childish ...
