[Digital Foundry] Hitman 3 PC Analysis vs Consoles (PS5 sucks)

Hitman 3 on PS5 performs in the ballpark of a 2060S but a bit better. In this particular demanding car scene, the PS5 drops more than a 2060S but overall, it's slightly better. The same story goes for the Series X vs the 2070S. That's the anti-Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Consolites loved to brag about how the PS5 was equal to a 2080S using AC Valhalla, well now it's equal to a 2060S. Almost as if some games performed better on certain hardware than others.

Desperate reassurance thread from a hermit with an obsolete GPU that has depreciated in value to hilarious lows. About a game that very few people will play at that.

Two months old console and its already having settings such as SSAO set to minimum. What in the f*ck??? What will happen a year from now? Everything set to Medium/Low and only the textures will be set to High or Ultra? This is PS4Pro/XboneX all over again, but this time around its in 60fps.

@drserigala: The PS5 version of the best selling game of 2020 runs on par with $2000 PC's. No one cares about some low budget game like Hitman 3 that became an afterthought by the studio as soon as they snagged the Bond IP. They aren't even selling a season pass for this one now that they have an IP people actually care about.

@NathanDrakeSwag: run on par my ass, some setting is lower than low on PC, even particle is only 25% resolution, the only ultra is texture.

If PC can duplicate ps5 lower than low setting( which couldn't unfortunately),the RTX2060s will beat the crap of ps5

lol it went from PS5 being near the RTX 3070 to now the RTX 2060 Super being able to keep up with the PS5. According to cows Hitman is a low budget obscure series, I guess having over 13 million players is obscure.

Been telling it even before he consoles were out on calling these 2070S-2080S equivalent. Now only been a matter of time before consolites revert back to 'show me a $400 PC' to even 'who cares about graphics, it's all about games less cheaters on paid online'.

He calls channels like Gamer Nexus and Digital Foundry liars and biased yet he believes nothing on PC looks better than God Of War and shows how little he knows about tech when he tries to hype up the PS5 SSD as some major advantage over PC and Xbox. It doesn't help that he is surrounded by playstation fanboys that agree and give him likes so he continues to believe that he is right and develops a big ego.

The new console gen just started and already consoles are running new games at medium to low settings. Thats just sad.

Like the fact that they have to pause the game and then zoom in to be able to tell the difference. These comparisons are waste of time just give us 60fps, great A.I., story and gameplay and great level design and details all i care about

Consoles are back to being where they've always been and will forever be. On the lowest settings, struggling to get anywhere near 60fps. Catching up to where PC was 4 years ago.

Are you referring to 4K? Yeah, they have to zoom in for it because average size screen from the average viewing distance, you won't notice a difference. That's why they use dynamic resolution and DLSS (which are both essentially just 1080P anyway) to advertise 4K and people can't even tell the difference. But hey, if consoles made games people actually wanted to play they wouldn't have to over exaggerate the capabilities of the hardware. That is why we're into 2021 and the people who bought the PS5 and XSS still only have just hardware, and not really any next gen titles to go with it.

They zoom in because a large portion of the viewers are on mobile and can't see the differences on a tiny screen.
