DF: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order PS5/ Xbox Series X/ Series S

• 1440p dynamic scale performance mode on Series X
• Quality mode offers dynamic 4K at 30fps on Series X
• Series S dynamic 1080p performance mode can drop to 720-900p. No quality mode on Series S
• No quality mode on PS5, only a performance mode that runs at a fixed 1200p
• Series X runs mostly at 60fps but has hitches and drops during traversal and some cutscenes which occur on PC as well
• Hitches happen in the quality mode but it's mostly 30fps on Series X
• PS5 is identical in performance with similar drops and stutters but hitches happen a bit less
• Series S drops more frequently than the other consoles

60 fps on ps5, plays best on ps5 and its not even their major update which is coming soon.

Always wanted to give this one a shot, but Respawn is EA and EA ain't getting my money.

Seems like it hitches every time there is a camera cut. I feel like I have seen this problem in occur in an another Unreal based game, maybe Gears.

They're still getting a cut. Best thing is to get the game used, so they get a fat 0$ from me, but i kinda want to play this on pc with near max settings instead of 1200p on a so called next gen console, the ps5.

John mentions in the video that it is "slightly sharper" on the XSX aka better quality image... but "slightly smoother" on the PS5 better FPS... if we are going to claim minuscule differences as "wins" then system wars has become more pathetic .. but I guess that is what we get when people like you keep creating alts to tout the same garbage

These things are pretty disappointing, IMO. I mean jesus, all that fuss the console-only crowd made about them before they came out and this is the return...

My 1070 Ti ran this game at 4k 30 FPS medium settings and 1440p max settings at 60 FPS. Man, these consoles suck.

I wouldn't judge a console by how it runs a BC game personally.. the code was never really for this console generation.

On a serious note, surely you're not expecting devs to give a 💯% when patching/upgrading last gen version for free are you?

@regnaston: What code would make a difference if it was made specifically for current gen? People keep making excuses that the problem is BC when it is not. What you are seeing is the raw performance and being disappointed. The only thing that can boost performance that are hardware exclusives, like Variable Rate Shading and Mesh Shaders but those tech, optimizes the rendering and doesn't perform miracles.

Ah ohhh. Another game that hasn't got a quality mode on the PS5 (Cyberpunk). But the cows were convinced, they told us it is CONFIRMED the PS5 is more powerful... What could this mean? :-S

It has nothing to do with power, it how the PS4 dev kit works.

So this is PS4 code code running on new hardware, in this department the xbox has the upper hand thanks to how MS code runs across devices.

Regardless of whether that's true and I'll take you're word for it, can you imagine how that sounds if an Xbox gamer says that? Already it didn't go down well when devs said "we are inexperienced with RDNA 2".

So, more proof that next gen consoles can't even deliver 4K30 on last gen titles, yet people still try to convince themselves they will on next gen. Yikes.
