Sauce

We have never said anything about discontinuing that title,' says Yosuke Matsuda on the future of Deus Ex

If its true then i hope they will not repeat the same mistake as they repeat with mankind divided. it could have been something special if they didnot cut game into half.

Original and HUman revolution are some of my fav games of all time while original bieng top tier.

not impressed by mankind divided much.

Eh, I like Human Revolution. But Bethesda and Arkane has the better "Deus Ex" now.

I'm looking forward to finally getting around to Mankind Divided after this BF sale. I have lowered my expectations after the lukewarm reaction from fans, and expect I will still enjoy it

I hope so as I love Deus Ex. Mankind Divided may end a bit abruptly but apart from that I thoroughly enjoyed it - it's one of my favorite games of this gen. I really want to see how Adam Jensen's story continues.

Dishonored. Both are first person stealth action games where, depending on how you play, can affect the outcome. Dishonored even has some of the original Deus Ex developers.

I haven't even bought it because kept saying it was bad. Like how bad can it really be? Like disappointing bad or bad-bad?

It's not bad at all. It's pretty much the same as Human Revolution gameplay-wise. People have been going crazy negative about it because of the microtransactions (which are entirely optional) and the story ending in a not so conclusive way, which is Square Enix's fault for wanting to cut the game in part 1 and part 2. But still, it's a solid game.

It's actually a decent game just don't hold you're breath waiting on a conclusive ending.

The only thing that can save it is a female protagonist and JRPG elements.

I never got the love for this series. I tried Human revolution numerous times and just didn't find it engaging. Guess it just isn't for me. The open endedness of playing out the different rooms is nice, but I found it boring to actually do. Just my opinion though.

They should delay it and make it for PS5. Deus Ex is a once a gen type of game.

Was Mankind divided really that much shorter than HR if you actually did all of the side content?

It felt like HR had barely any side content, whereas MD had more to sort of make up for it.

I hope they go back to more of a mission structure instead of the open world of Mankind Divided, that seemed like a step in the wrong direction to me (though maybe if the open world was less bland I could live with it)

Excellent. The original, HE and M.D. are some of my favorite games of all time. HR blew my mind on the 360, the Directors Cut went even further in awesomeness. I actually enjoyed MD more so than HR, but both are excellent titles. The original DE is just heaven. Playing through it now on my potatoe of a laptop.

I enjoyed the open areas of MD. Prague was the right size - big enough to be filled with detail and interesting stuff but small enough for traversing it to not feel like a chore. Its atmosphere just wasn't on par with HR. I also thought that the game needed another large hub area which may have been a thing before Square Enix decided to cut the game in half.

yea, I think if this was better I wouldn't have minded the open world/hub area as much

not bad at all. Think of it as human revolution with less interesting story and characters and been cut in half. Its major flaw is that it ended to soon and a disappointing ending that is if you can call that an ending

The gameplay and mechanics that made HR great are all there and improved

I disagree. It took me longer to beat Mankind Divided than Human Revolution and the writing and characters are a huge step up from Human Revolution as well.

In terms of the setting, folks seem to get hung up over how much of it took place in Prague but forget how often the extra locations were reused in HR and overlook how densely packed Prague is with gameplay and storytelling possibilities.

They also took the gameplay tweaks added to the Human Revolution directors cut and seamlessly integrated them in really cool, organic ways. It really is a top tier game.

Mankind Divided is an awesome game. Anyone into Deus Ex should definitely give it a run through.
