Won't happen. PS3's CELL architecture is too different compared to PS4 X86 archtecture. The migration process would be too costly, and would basically require a new development from scratch, which will take years. If they didn't announce it yet, we won't see any time soon. Because to the announcement date you will have to add 2 years of development.

Can't be that bad. They remade all three uncharted games from the PS3 for the PS4.

Yup, certainly can be done. They can emulate the game on PC already.
Yes I like the idea of digital foundry that it would be an increase similar to shadow of the colossus.
Give me a new IP or Bloodborne 2. Demon's Souls already had a sequel/remaster in Dark souls as it was the spiritual successor.
Demon's Souls is prolly the highest quality of the last gen souls games, so it would be great to have it as a PS4 exclusive.
Demons Souls is still my favorite souls game and my favorite game of last gen. It would be day one for me.

Ugh... I really hope it's not an exclusive....
A) More people need to play it
B) I need to play it on my PC so I don't have to use my PS4
C) exclusives suck since there is less reason to program it well - all you have to do is make it work on one platform
D) There's just no reason for it to be exclusive.
E) Future-proof
F) Please no.
I really want to see this done. This game was incomplete when it released on PS3, and even though it was incomplete, it sent a shockwave across the industry that we are still feeling today. It deserves the most respect, and one way to do this would be to remake it ground up with the original vision still firmly as the foundation. Give us that extra archstone if you guys do it! Possibly some extra content on top of this!
Also, it would most likely be a PS4 exclusive, which isn't a problem for me. I got a PS4 because I knew things like this would release on it.

PS3CELL's main problem is difference in magnitude e.g. if PS3 only has 1 PPC and 2 SPE setup, then it's software BC is possible on PS4.
Both Jaguar's L2 cache and SPE's local memory programming boundary optimizations are similar. The main difference between Jaguar vs SPE is Jaguar can forgive the programmer when they exceed L2 cache boundary instead of hitting the brick wall.
On peek software optimizations, CELL's SPEs are similar to X86's vector programming.
CELL's 7 SPE = think of 7 PowerPC Altivec co-processors like behavior that are not compatible with PowerPC Altivec
CELL's 7 SPEs has 7 128bit SIMD FMA hardware + 1 PPC Altivec 128bit FMA hardware
AMD 's Ryzen 3 quad core has 8 128bit SIMD FMA + 8 FADD 128bit SIMD hardware i.e. more than matching against CELL on pure paper spec.
FMA = math unit that can handle both MUL and ADD functions.
PS5 is rumored to have Ryzen 8 CPU cores, hence at least 16 128bit SIMD FMA + 16 FADD 128bit SIMD hardware with Ryzen v1/v2 designs.
Ryzen v3 is rumored to have four 128bit SIMD FMA per CPU core, hence 8 CPU setup yields 32 128bit SIMD FMA units.

Without BC emulation overheads, Sony needs to port AI/logic code to X86 CPU while SPE's shader mini-programs needs to be ported to GpGPU.
Why can't Phony just make the original DS that gamers already own PS Bore Poo BC 4K Enhanced like MS does with it's games? Ohhh, right, no money to be made in that endeavor.
Oh well, not everyone can be like, MS/Xbox, for the gamers by the gamerzzz.... Jazzz. lol :P
