well jaffe dev'ed for sony and of coarse liked them because he stayed with them so of coarse, but i like jaffe because he give dues where they are due. IMo yeah sony console is great. If i had to choose i would choose ps3 because of the movie feature and there a few games...but if there were more time on my hands, 360 easily because of the online and games...but if u are looking for a escape for a few hourse like jaffe, ps3 is easy to pick, its doesn't suck the time out ya like the 360.

He swears to look cool? I HIGHLY doubt that. And he's only made one cool game? Do you even know who David Jaffe is? Twisted Metal ring a bell? God of War? Psychonauts? (he worked on it, not sure if he "made" it or not). He's one of the better directors. Definitely one of Sony's best devs. (even though he is now on his own).

No. The walkway of spinning blades, the rotating death pillars in Hades... it was frustrating and unrewarding. The rest of the game was great but those platforming bits just ruined it for me. Heck, IIRC, Jaffe himself admitted they were a design mistake.

tim shafer made psychonaughts , david jaffe couldnt make a good platformer if he wanted to.

Is one thing when a developer that works with your PS3 system saying good things and another thing when a third party non-bias dev like Gabe from Valve saying that the PS3 is a waste of time.

i guess...i didn't think it was that bad tho..oh well, there is the good and bad in everyones opinions, no matter how expert their opnion is...i'm talking to GS with your RnC review...that was a 8 game or 8.5....
Best system is opinion based... but saying R+C is a better platformer than SMG is flat out wrong. Seriously I love R+C as much as the next guy (one of the franchises that makes me regret not owning a PS3/P) but R+C is really more of a 3rd person shooter with platforming thrown in. SMG reinvented the platformer and set new benchmarks for the genre, R+C is just a well made game.

I don't see how this is relavent to System Wars. A developer that makes games for Sony Consoles said he prefers PS3. Is that some how an argument that ps3 is the best console?
Wow, really? The best example of PS3 superiority he can think of is a multiplatform title (Burnout Paradise) that arguably has equivalent performance but more extra features (rumble, achievements, custom soundtrack) on 360 than the PS3?

Haha... ahhh I crack myself up. Anyways, back on track, do you HONESTLY believe that David Jaffe is one of the best game directors that Sony has had? He is a bloody talentless hack. God of War is an artistic abomination. Its one of the few games that I struggle to believe has art in it. A mess of cliche failure and genre confusion.
Don't use Jaffe as an example of Sony's win-portfolio. Hideo Kojima is man enough for that.

Hardware reliability + great graphics = best system in my eyes.
The only reason someone would say that is if they were a complete fanboy and were convinced that people only say its good because of Mario. They'll play the game hating it before the start and try to hate it even more.
R&C was not the better platformer. it was the best R&C game made so far, but again, insomniac seems to think making R&C an annual affair is a good thing -- after a while it gets boring.
I like Jaffe, he is a great games developer who is not affraid to speak his mind. Sure some people may find him annoying but I reckon his funny unlike Itagaki who is just flat out annoying and bash's any game he considers a threat. Atleast Jaffe admits that DMC has better gameplay then GOW, this makes me like GOW even more and the game is one of my favourite action/adventure games of last gen. I lol at the people who are bashing Jaffe because he gave his opinion on liking R&C Future more then SMG, you guys make me sick.
Be aware guys that Jaffe doesn't work for Sony anymore and has made his own development company called Eat,Sleep & Play, hardcore huh. Jaffe does have an exclusive deal with Sony which entitles them to 3 exclusive games for the PS3, one of which is due out this year and will be announced at E3 in July :shock:
