Could AVP be an "outta nowhere" AAA title, like Arkham Asylum?

not many people gave arkham asylum much hope. everyone thought it would be all flash an no substance, even more so because it was being made by an obscure, unknown development studio without any previous AAA games. this game could very well be a GOTY contender if it is done right. so far, it promises much, and if it delivers it could an amazing game indeed. horde mode, class-based multiplayer, 3 seperate campaigns, and outstanding visuals.

If it's a return to the AvP2 quality then I'll cream my pants.

Alot of people were hyped for AA, as for AVP yea I think it could be AAA, so far it looks extremely good, as long as they handle the MP well they have it in the bag.

I wouldn't hold my breath for it though, since the developer hasn't put out the best games recently.

I hope this doesn't disappoint. Either way, if it's of decent quality then it'll be AAA to me since I love AvP.

With Rogue Warrior, I'm almost certain that they didn't focus on that because of AvP. With Shellshock, possibly the same thing. Of course, every developer has bad games.

Wanna know the main reason why I'm not hyping this much? It's being made by Rebellion. AvP can easily be another Rogue Warrior or Shellshock.

that would be awsome if it was (because then, ya know. sequels. and possibly lighting a fire under the arse of the Colonial Marines dev to finally finish that game). and as someone said earlier, if it brings the quality of AvP2, with the great visuals from the screenshots. oh yeah, it'll be criminal if it doesn't score a 9.

From all I've read/seen/heard about it, it's a solid 8-8.5 at least.

Rebellion pumped out 3 crappy games this gen. 6.5 tops.

Although I really want this to be a good game, I am going to take the wait and see approach. Hopefully there will be a demo.

It's possible. Though I'm doubting it heavily. I love the originals on PC. Have had my eyes on this for quite awhile now.

THe first vid is about the MP in the game and the 3rd video is not really the best quality

I have personally been on a complete black out on that game, with the exception of a few screen shots i know nothing about the game. I am just hoping to come on gamespot one day and see a big fat AA or AAA next to it and read about how cool it is on the forums, because AVP used to be one of the best games both single and multiplayer. Would be a good day to have good addition in the series.
