Even though I made the comment that his blog post about the Wii felt like a SW fanboy rant, the guy plays WoW so he can't be all that bad. Pity I wasn't around initially otherwise I would have jumped into the conversation.Redmoonxl2Well it was sort of a SW fanboy rant :P He is a GS user, posting on system wars, "bashing" Nintendo thats fanboyish :P

The biggest point I wanted to make is he thought PS2 had a larger userbase cause it sold 100+ million copies. Well, how many of those owners are still playing a PS2. Of the 4 people I know who had one, 3 are playing 360 and Wii and one is playing PS3 (and you guessed it, this guy hates MS and Nintendo too, true "hardcore" gamer). They all won't go back to PS2, no matter what the game, because they got spoiled with new gen graphics and gameplay. I'm just saying, you won't have the originial fanbase because people have moved on.immortality20So because four out of your four friends have moved on, that statistic represents the entire market? :? The Playstation 2 market is huge, and there are a lot more late adopters than early ones. You and your friends happen to be early adopters, but it is not indicative of the entire market.

No, of course it doesn't. It could mean no other users in the world! All I'm saying is if these former PS2 users no longer want to play it, what makes you think it cant happen to other users? I know the fanbase is still huge, cause alot cant afford the PS3, and shun 360, but whatever. It was just a thought.

I considered this, and I then I considered not every current PS2 owner will want GOW 2, and not every currnet PS2 owner plays PS2. Just like not every current GC and XBOX owner plays theirs (though they have a lack of games). I know the market is still there, I just thought of a different way to look at it.
I admit I am Jamarcus Russelpoopinloop32I know you're wrong because you misspelled his name. lol I think everyone needs to calm down however. Cory no doubt is a cool guy, and I think i'ts awesome that he contributed to SW, but he is, simply a man. Who know there very well could be other developers that frequent SW's a lot more often and are active members that we just don't know about because they don't make their true identity known.
