Rumble is last gen. Motion sensing seems to be the new thing, and if you read the news lately, MS is probably gonna release a motion sensing controller for the 360.dream431ca
If M$ does then it won't sell well. While motion control is integral to Wii games, it's gimmicky on the PS3(IMO).
Cows never said rumble was last gen. The head guy from Sony did.Logan832
Where were you system wars '06? Once Sony said it, they all followed suit.
Rumble is last gen when you are being sued over it. You settle out of court and suddenly it's next gen rumble.heretrix
It's not next gen rumble. Nobody said it was next gen rumble. It's just rumble.
The same thing is gonna happen to lemmings when MS releases their version of a motion sensing controller, which PS3 and Wii already have.
It really makes no difference to me. But then I can ask is HD and HDMI needed, remember when M$ said it's not needed.jimm895
Remember when multiple M$ SKUs were a dumb idea and confusing for customers? We can take a walk down memory lane if you wanna.

And the cows agreed. "Who cares about rumble?" They said and oh, and lets not forget the absolutely amazing advice "Just turn up your speakers real loud". Great.
True. Even though rumble can be turned off, they didn't even want the choice. I remember people here saying that the subwoofer takes the place of rumble.
Rumble would of been included at launch if they wernt in the lawsuit over it.EVOLV3
QFT. People thought it was Sony that did it on purpose. They had a lawsuit on their ass. The "Rumble is last gen" was just damage control.

That was a stupid post. Now it's pretty obvious you're a ban dodger.anyway, is it really that big a deal to require a whole thread? Just sop up the "ownage" quietly.

I think they agree that they didn't need a vibrating controller to enjoy their ps3 games.[QUOTE="Logan832"]Cows never said rumble was last gen. The head guy from Sony did.heretrix

I think they agreed that they didn't need a vibrating controller to enjoy their ps3 games. Now that some of you have the DS3, can you admit Sony was wrong about rumble being last gen?pakman3000I am not a hardcore cow, but I do own a PS3. I was pissed from the get go that rumble was gone and I think motion cotrol is a joke. I am glade Sony got their heads out their asses and are bringing rumble back.

I think I know what side of the fence you're on. BTW, been away from GS for long long time and created a new permanent account. Sorry for making a system wars thread in....wait for it......system wars! It's not like I went to the PS3 forum and did this. Now whine about the ownage in your next post.
First off, I did vote for the "humble pie", although I never claimed rumble to be last gen. I think everyone knew what Sony was trying to pull with the "last gen" rumble statement. They should have just been honest, or just stuck to "rumble wont work with the sixaxis". That's business for ya. Sony wasnt the first company to do it, and surely wont be the last. carljohnson3456
I know there were alot of folks like you saying it was a mistake from the beginning, but that's why I put hardcore cows.

Seeing how I bought a ps3 without rumble, and today I just bought a DS3.
Seems to me that it doesnt bother me too much.
Sony was in a dispute for it or else it would have been included during launch. Or so I gather.jangojay
Right. I'm sure Sony didn't want to make money by releasing the good controler a year and half later..

When was rumble technology invented and implemented into games?Rumble would of been included at launch if they wernt in the lawsuit over it.EVOLV3
the point is, all of the cows said rumble was last gen when it was announced there would be no rumble. can any cows man up and admit all it was was damage control and they were wrong?

Im sure some cows said rumble was last gen, but this cow never did. Only reason they didnt have it @ launch was because they were still in a lawsuit with immersion over the tech. They said it was last gen and that it didnt work with the motion controls but I knew better.
So I'm sure some are willing to admit they were wrong but some of us knew what was really going on.

Again when was rumble technology implemented into games? You claim that rumble is current gen technology, so i assume you mean that rumble was invented after the release of the 360. If that is not true(which it isnt) then that would mean that rumble was invented last gen. So that would make it last gen technology. Therefore Sony was right when it made that statement, which means that cows werent wrong about anything.

So rumble controllers were first invented this generation? Wow we really were dead wrong.the point is, all of the cows said rumble was last gen when it was announced there would be no rumble. can any cows man up and admit all it was was damage control and they were wrong?

I'm confused. Why would anyone admit they were wrong when they said last gen consoles had rumble? What last gen console didn't have rumble?

So rumble controllers were first invented this generation? Wow we really were dead wrong. You're being dense. No one said rumble was invented for this generation. We're saying it is relevant to gaming. Sony said it wasn't. There isn't a smidgen or a pinch of win in your statements. You fail.

can you just cut the damage control? you know what that means.
Not a fair poll, there should have been an option for people who never said that.NecroCharm
I should've, but that's why I said hardcore cows.
Rumble would of been included at launch if they wernt in the lawsuit over it.EVOLV3There you go. It wasn't Sony's choice to take out rumble.

The lawsuit's okay, but don't feed me some bullcrap to cover it up sony. I thought we were tighter than that. :(
