2020 on STEAM,can`t wait.

Since I can't get it day one on steam, then I will get it for the Xbox one X. Then later I will purchase again on steam to complete my collection there. I don't mind playing on console, just don't want to support Epic is all.
2020 on Steam. In this case, my problem isn't with the Epic Store, but with my slight OCD-ish obsession. I get antsy when my games of the same franchise aren't on the same launcher. I still don't know what the Hell I was thinking when I bought Tales of the Borderlands on GOG. Sigh.

Heh I think GOG is worth it because it's a package you can store and will run from now until the end of modern computer architecture.
You can always add it to whatever launcher you want to give the illusion of it being in the same library :)
...well maybe not Epic, I'm sure they don't support launching 3rd party programs. Epic's platform is bereft of most features that make launchers useful.
I'll get it on Epic most likely.
I think for Steam to win some games back they need to reduce their cut of sales. I'd rather play games on Steam but I can't see a small subset of people refusing to use Epic counter-acting the amount of profit devs/publishers will retain by using Epic over Steam at this point. Most people just don't care that much.
the same blowback occurred with Uplay and Origin and it didn't achieve anything.

Steam did cut their percentage of every sale, but it's only for the multi million sellers.
So really only for the AAA publishers and that once in a lifetime smaller game that makes it big, your DayZs and your PUBGs.
But you do bring up a good point. This is starting to become a slippery slope for steam. It's not about them losing games. It's about them losing all the big games (while also getting back some Bethesda games).
Frankly I think Valve just doesn't give a rat's ass though, because they are filthy rich at this point and can continue to 'abuse' their dominance over the market. Same reason why they haven't put much effort in creating games these past years: they don't need to because they are already earning all the money in the world.
I'll get it on Epic most likely.

I just think Valve needs to stop cutting 30% to the Publishers cause that's the problem and it's why post of these Publishers are flocking to Epic. Can't say I blame them, 30% cut just really hurts the Publisher.
For me personally, I'm already playing Metro Exodus only because I got it for free with my RTX purchase and Epic doesn't rub me the wrong way, Steam wasn't like the first time either. All in all, if I can't purchase the game nowhere else but on Epic, then so beat it. At least with "Outer Worlds" it's coming to both Windows 10 & Epic, I'll play it on Windows 10+Game Pass for it so hey, at least I have more options available.

sounds like we have a similar mindset then, avoid Epic if possible, but if its the only option i'm not willing to wait 6+ months to play a game I'm really excited for. which is exactly why they are doing these exclusive deals.
I think Epics cut is only 13% or something like that. that is a huge difference. plus they are presumably giving the publishers a pile of money for the exclusivity deals.
unfortunately I don't think us consumers will be able to determine the outcome of this platform battle. Its up to Valve to adjust and keep games and gamers on their platform. dislike of Epic is probably at its highest point right now and its still not stopping publishers from putting their games on the platform.
Depending on cross-play
But i will probably end up buying a digital Xbox One version so I can play on PC (albeit a more stable app than Epic)
@rmpumper: to play it.
Same as buying it 2 days from day 1....or 2 weeks from day 1....or 2 years from day 1.
Why do you buy your games?
Never cared much for borderlands. If I even end up getting it, it'll potentially be from a steam sale way down the line.
I'll be skipping it. I tried numerous times to like the series, but I'm just not a fan of the loot shooters. Also, I do not buy games on day one, I always wait for them to be discounted. Games drop in price way too fast these days for me to pay full price. Plus after the MCC fiasco, I will not buy a broken game again. To each their own though.

Same, I'll be getting it on Epic Fail Store as well :P
Hermits and their whinging over the Epic store is getting out of hand, so much so that they're complaining on Xbox sites like true achievements.
Can you guys just STFU already.
Not that interested in Borderlands anymore, unless it's a radically different from the first two games. Maybe I'll pick up the GOTY edition on STEAM when it's dirt cheap.
I didn't even bought BL2 (my bro gave me a copy) and PreSequel. What makes you think I'll buy BL3? Especially now with all that timed exclusives BS.
