Borderlands 2 VITA gameplay @ GDC 2014

So finally we got some gameplay footage of this. Looks pretty good for the most part, although the loading time in between levels was pretty long. Don't remember how it was for the console versions. Hopefully this will boost Vita sales, although as a Vita owner, I don't really know if I want to replay this game on a smaller screen lol. I'm also curious to know how the multiplayer will work out.

That would suck I guess. But hey, it's coming free with the bundle, so still not bad at all.

I read about the issues as well. Hopefully they have it ironed out before release.

Heard the game is running like crap and this close to release that isn't a good sign.

I'm not even sure why this game is happening, everyone who wanted to play it did so last year, and you'll be able to find the Game of the year console edition for the same price as this except it'll be far superior.

This is another shitty move by Gearbox. Letting another inferior developer make a game for them. They are one of worst studios in major gaming with this shit.

FFX on vita is flawless and amazing! Of course I'm not surprised that I am the only one playing it, as this forum is so anti handheld and anti vita it's sickening. Always the same comments by the same haters, hating on the worlds best handheld. I will be getting this on day 1, as I never finished my ps3 version , and I love playing games on my vita!

Yeah, it's dumb that people think the Vita is bad because 99% of its library is found on other systems, and in many cases, has been available on those other platforms for years.

Borderlands 2 is approaching two years old. Enjoy that along with those 12 year old Final Fantasy games you spent $40 on. Maybe the Vita will get some more ports later this year to play.

i would have loved a spin off, perhaps with smaller levels and smaller missions and more fo them...and more guns and loot. B2 lacked guns :P.

its a great type of game for a handheld like the vita. I havent managed to dig up a good diablo like game for the vita (sadly heroes of ruin on the 3DS was also a bit of a misfire) and something like this would have been ideal.

but i have this game on the PC. i reckon many who wanted to play this game already have it on one platform or another. if this was released at the same time as the other versions then i could understand its presence. but at this stage....why?

I believe there's cross save with the PS3 version and given that the game is being bundled for free with the new Vita it should be pretty compelling I'd think

It's like playing at sub HD, possibly upscaled to that vita's native screen, low settings, and jaggies all over the place. Spin off would have been better, and possibly look better with optimization compared to this crappy port.

@SolidGame_basic: i would have to disagree. i dont see this selling many vitas at all. cross play saves is hardly a game selling feature.

an exclsuive barderlands would do far more good for the system.

Only a year and a half too late... seriously, what's the point? Seems to me the handheld user base isn't that in to FPS anyway too. Really don't see this being much of a success.

My friends, the UI looks very small in it's current state.

Still runs and looks better than Xbox One games.

Even if I had a Vita I'd not want to support the studio that embezzled money from Sega to make this game and others and make money off of it while they had no interest in having a decent Aliens game.

I was really excited for this game because I never played the game on ps3 but this looks disappointing. I can deal with bad graphics but I hear it runs poorly as well. The vita is a powerful handheld but it doesn't mean you can squeeze every game down and it will work. I'd much have them work on a new small scale $15 borderlands game on psn.

This game looks like it might end up like the jak hd collection, a broken mess and no updates to fix it.
