if Bioshock 2 is Bioshock 1.5 (and it probably will be) it will be forgotten even more quickly, and if Bioschock 3 isn't much improved from the second, then it will be the same way.

Let's wait for the 2nd game to get released first before making post on the 3rd game. Mass Effect is suppose to be a trilogy as well, but no one is talking about the 3rd game for it.blackace

I'm definitely split right down the middle on this. Generally speaking, movie sequels = bad, game sequels = good, but in a game as unusually intricate and story-driven as Bioshock, I'm a bit doubtful that we're going to get the complete package of both improved gameplay and compelling drama. Honestly, the story in Bioshock felt pretty done and overwith at the end, and the fact that it may be one of those infamous trilogies a la The Matrix or Pirates of the Carribean where parts 2 and 3 are produced simultaneously and have more in common with eachother than the first one only adds to my cynicism.

Here's hoping for the best...
