It's hard compare the two. They both rely on narrative a lot but they both go for different things. Infinite is a bit more "Out there" and ambitious but TLoU is a very well told grounded story.
I can't really pick one as they both do something the other doesn't and both hit different spots
Bioshock Infinite feels boring in some way, i just cant keep play it. Gameplay feels boring, story don't make me wanna play more, i don't care about the characters in the game and the plasmids is not fun. Strange to me cuz i loved the first game :/
The Last of us" was so good i could not put down controller until i had completed the game, i even got the save glitch that forced me to restart 5hours gameplay. But that didn't stop me i completed it in one game session, so yeah to me TLOU story had better to ME.
Have to go with TLOU. I prefer joel and ellie to brooker and elizabeth

Better story not better characters
I haven't played the last of us but BI is definitely not betterwasted_wiisdomHow can you tell then...?
I think I prefer TLOU story more. The story is simple and yet it introduces a lot of complex mature themes. Bioshock Infinite has an amazing imaginative world, but the story I can say merely "good". I'm not a fan of stories which has a lot of plot twist and I personally would've prefer if Bioshock Infinite stuck with a more simple story. In a way, Bioshock Infinite's story left me kind of left me disappointed.
I still have to give both games props for pushing the boundaries of story telling in a video game.Â
[QUOTE="wasted_wiisdom"]I haven't played the last of us but BI is definitely not betterKaze_no_MiraiHow can you tell then...? TLOU story already looks better than the stupid milkage of quantum mechanics+philosophy+twists and plot holes that BI has as an excuse for a story line. Ooohh look he's a space traveler looking to use his trick to find his treat, and at the end he finds out his trick WAS his treat. gasps shocking ending.

^^This^^ The only reason I would say I like Infinite's story better is because I prefer heavily sci-fi-themed fiction more than post-apocalyptic survivor stories. It's hard compare the two. Both had very strong narratives, but I'm generally more fond of stories that manage to be affecting in an understated way, which The Last of Us mostly succeeded at. Infinite, on the other hand, is - in usual Ken Levine fashion - very on the nose. Still, I liked them both a lot.

[QUOTE="shadiezz2012"][QUOTE="khoofia_pika"] The PC version of Infinite looks incredible, he's right (partly). khoofia_pikaif he talking about pc version ...then maybe...i'm still not sure because the last of us have better NPCs models ,better animation ,better art style, and better lighting The PC version of Infinite looks much better the TLoU in almost all aspects. not in animation and art style or characters models...and the amount of detail that ND put in this game is incredible not one place in the game i felt was the same and they are doing that on 7 years old hardware on the other hand from the get go in BI you have four models standing next to each other looking the same not even a different hair colour

it look much better than the console version ...i know
but you seem not understand that i'm not talking just about gfx it self
i'm talking about the animation and artstyle and caracters models i know Bioshock have much better gfx than TLOU on pc from technical standpoint
but the artsyle, animation, models and the attention to detail in the last of us make it a better looking game for me at least
Have yet to play TLOU but I must say the twist in the end of BioShock Infinite was kinda disappointing. After all the people saying how mindblowing it was, i couldnt help but feel those gamers get impressed easily... BioShock 1 twist ("would you kindly") was miles better. For me story/characters/world/environment BioShock 1 wins, gameplay wise BioShock Infinite wins

Better story not better characters
That being said, the two characters were huge parts of both stories.
Levine kept going on about the interaction between the two, and honestly I thought NG handled that aspect of the story better.
