Red Dead Redemption.
Great story, great atmosphere, expansive open world, fun combat, great multiplayer. It seriously has it all.

Eh? Free-roam was awesome and the combat is better than most open world games.

You didn't even aim. It was really just point and click. And it was really repetitive.Infamous 2 and AC2 were my favourites. Can't beat an open world game where it's actually fun to move around the world IMO.
Have to go with Fallout 3, i got tons of fun with that game, probably enjoyed it more than Saint's Row 2. Infamous was really fun too and RDR while boring towards the end it was fun for a while, however and IMO, Fallout 3 is the best.
For me Test Drive Unlimited 1 was fantastic in concept.
But overall its gotta be Fallout 3 i've honestly loved exploring that map.
Flight Simulator X?
If you think about it, it is open-world. If I take off from an airport headed east, I'll eventually return to the airport coming from the west if I fly long enough.

That's always been the case with Rstar's games, but that doesn't make it any less enjoyable![QUOTE="themajormayor"][QUOTE="PhazonBlazer"]You didn't even aim. It was really just point and click. It's more like watching a movie if you take away the aiming aspect.Eh? Free-roam was awesome and the combat is better than most open world games.

What a bad excuse. I know there is but it isn't built around free aiming so it sucks too. And it should be judged out of the box.[QUOTE="parkurtommo"] So? Saints row 1 was amaing and was the first game i got when i finally got an xbox. The sequal was great, but 3 dissapointed me to no end. I have been one of this series biggest defenders but the third was a piece of crap imo(everyone loved it though). The first one ut had a sleek and a polish that they have not reclaimed, I still play it.
umm
want to say oblivion i put over 220+ hrs in one save.
even though i didn't put 200+hrs in read dead is also great
