Best Halo campaign?

So, now that many of you have completed the Halo 4 campaign, I thought this'd be a good time to talk about which Halo game has the best campaign. Does Halo 4 rank amongst CE or Reach (which, I thought, was incredible)?

NOTE:Sorry I couldn't include ODST, but I could only put five games in the poll, so... yeah.

Honestly, ODST was most memorable for me. The music, New Mombosa, the aesthetic of it all and the way the story was told. I really enjoyed it.

ODST, loved the solitary feel of it (I am a Metroid fan :P) come at me bro.

Halo: CE for me... The universe was new, so that helped... also the level design/layout was better than the rest, imo.

Halo 4 is my #2 now.... wait, not the #2 that some of you are thinking. I'm talking about numerical order of quality where #1 is considered best. :P

Overall I have to say halo 4. There were some more memorable parts in the other games but overall halo 4 was the best. Halo CE is a very close second if not tied though.

halo ce=reach. halo 4 while having some good action had the cheesiest cutscenes ever! and cortana was just annoying for some reason

Halo 4

Halo reach 2 player coop via lan legendary = greatest singleplayer ever Not only was there no stupid love story, reach showed why spartans are so dominant on the ground. The mission where a super carrier appears out of no where and the group of spartans are foced to take a giant ship engine core, capture a covanent vessel, and suicide bomb it into the carrier was one of the coolest misisons ive ever played. Plus the best part about the reach campiaign on legendary was how fricken hard the elites were!!! Finally I understood what the books were talking about Put it this way in campaign you couldnt sit back while you heal, THE ELITES ADVANCED ON YOU! I had never seen that in a videogame where the enemy AI actually advanced on your positionrandomhrey

I´ve only played the first three so out of those,CE is easily my favourite.Arach666

For me its Reach..

However only played Halo3, Reach & ODST... next week gonna pick Halo4 which according to a couple of friends is much better..

For me it previously was Halo CE, now it's Halo 4.

Halo CE > Halo 3 = Halo 4 > Halo 2 >>>>> Halo Reach > ODST

2 remains my favourite campaign to date. Was shocked when I learned they actually rushed it, seemed like a masterpiece to me.

Halo Combat Evolved on the Xbox. Hands down, the best campaign. Despite the Library level, it was an amazing campaign. I do have yet to play 4's campaign though so we'll see.

Halo CE>Reach/4, 3/ODST, 2. All had their ups and downs.

With the amount of people saying that Halo 4 has the best campaign, it looks like I will get the game sooner than I thought. Good to hear.

It isn't really. There aren't that many memorable missions/moments and the plot is underdeveloped. But at least it's better than Reach.

Whatever, I think I'll go ahead and tell my mummy to get it for me on Christmas! :P
