just out of curiousity, are most people on this board ps3/pc fans? thats what most choices have been.

Could of course just be PS3 and PC have the best looking games coming out, but I was just wondering. I don't post here often.

Phong-Blinn shaders are pretty bad, but they're quick and easy to implement. The downside is that everything looks like plastic.

well, the UE3.5 engine powering GeOW 2 is pretty much a more efficient version of the UE3 but with some added effects like ambient occlusion and better character lighting. this means that GeOW 2 will look only slightly better than the original. UE3.5 was more about physics than graphics anyway with soft physics, water physics and effects, and destructible environments. also, since the engine has been streamlined, it will allow for 100+ enemies on the screen at once. aside from UE3.5, GeOW 2 will offer better gameplay being that the game will use mova contour and natural motion.

Mirror's Edge looks crappy and simple to me. And the concept of the gameplay is not new. This was done before on xbox with a game called Breakdown. I played it and forgot it...and people will probebly do the same for this game. The gameplay is not really that much diffrent than the other game, and the graphics are too simplistic to be considered impressive along side of the otheer next gen standouts.

I'd definantly put Gears 2 before Mirror's Edge, hell I'd put Naruto: Ninja Strom before both of them.

For consoles Killzone 2 wins this easily(until we see more FFXIII).

Saolin was a fable fanboi, a completely insane one I might add. Strangly obsessed with leaves and pet dogs. The kinda person found with his kittens head in a vice, in his shed, at the age of 7.
