EDIT: THIS ONLY EFFECTS CLOSED BETA ACCOUNTS, but its safe to change your password, due to it being your entire ea account

A real hacker group leaked their info. Not sure why they keep releasing more stuff. It's only going to add onto their charges when caught.

Emails weren't leaked. Usernames and unsalted passwords hashed using MD5. Meaning everyone on that list ought to change their password on all sites using their EA password, or derivatives thereof.

KeePass + USB drive for backup is what I'd suggest. Generates and stores randomly generated passwords.

LulzSec disbanding ought to at least decrease the douchebaggery against game companies for a while. Eventually another group of ****oles will take their place, and/or they'll reappear under a different name.

not all are BFH accounts some are from other sites

it has already been stated that all info was from an old database when the closed beta used a second login (for the website itself, not account) and that was the info leaked (thus, all info is from CB users)

an action has already been taken to fix the holes and all passwords were reset and emails are being sent right now so people reset their deactivated password

since everything is clear, and fixed, along the conclusion that NO other info is compromised, this gets closed

No. back in the day you had to have 2 differnt accounts, one for the forums and one for the game, the forum ones are the accounts that have been stolen.

Well that disbandment was more meaningless than expected. They pretty much just instantly swapped affiliation. They're part of Anonymous now.

Looks like that group doesn't care as much about their public image as I thought. Used to be they tried to amass support amongst the public, or at least actively trying to keep people from thinking they're a bunch of ****oles by not targeting regular people and portraying that they were driven by some form of justifiable, or at least understandable cause. But I guess some of these people like to **** people over too, they just don't invoke the Anonymous name when doing so.

I don't play BFH,but I still had to change my password.

I changed my EA password about a week ago when the nwn forums were hacked, does that mean they now got that password as well?ManicAce

not sure, it seems if you made a BFH account when it was in closed beta you are effected, but its always safe just to change your password
