At last! No Man's Sky 2 ("NEXT" update) has finally arrive!

Maybe not an actual NMS2 game but you'll get the idea. "NEXT" is the biggest (possibly the last) update from Hello Games and adding Multiplayer is a nice welcome feature for those who was looking forward to. Here's what's new added to the game. (Taking from PlayStation Blog)

Multiplayer:

• Team up with a small group of friends to explore the universe together, or joined with random travelers online
• Help friends stay alive, or prey on others to survive
• Build shelter or complex colonies together to share with your team
• Fight as a pirate or a wingman in epic space battles with friends and enemies
• Race exocraft across weird alien terrains, creating race tracks and trails to share online

Additional Patch Notes and Features:

• Play in third or first person, both on-foot and in ship
• Gaze on planetary rings and improved space visuals that make space more beautiful than ever
• Explore dramatically improved planetary terrain generation, ground textures, water and clouds that bring the environment to life
• Enjoy significantly more detail added to ships, NPCs and buildings
• Build bases anywhere on any planet, with hundreds of new base parts added to the game
• Create bigger and better bases than ever before, with dramatically increased base building complexity and size limits
• Architect and own multiple bases
• Assemble and upgrade a fleet of frigates and command them from the bridge of your freighter
• Send your fleet out to into the universe or deploy them to help you as you explore a specific system
• Build a truly custom capital ship with improved freighter base building
• Invite your friends aboard and take on challenging multiplayer missions from the Galactic Commission Station on your bridge

And today is also a special day. No Man's Sky finally arrives to Xbox One! Yes, Xbox One gamers will get to play NMS along with "NEXT" Kudos to Hello Games for working so hard with this game despite it had a rocky start but I for one really enjoy playing this game for the past 2 years and still playing as we speak.

I guess the question is, has Hello Games finally redeem themselves?

I am interested in getting this for XB1, but at a later date, maybe when it is on sale. Bought it on PS4 and haven't touched it in nearly two years.

Would have been nice if Microsoft had worked with them to have this launch on Game Pass. Have been slightly interested since its announcement, but I'll wait until it hits Game Pass or GWG.

If offered on Game Pass I'd give it a whirl. Got on that. :P

I'm actually willing to give the game a chance now, the game looked way too barebones at launch.

I'll have to tear myself away from the awesome Vermintide 2 to try this out, I enjoy sci-fi survival games and this one always looked interesting to me, just unfortunate what happened during the initial launch. Got this on the X and will try it out later....I think I will play solo at first and get a feel for it before I try any of the online stuff.

It's nice to see a developer who know they fucked up working hard to try and claw back peoples trust, I hope this huge update gives people reason to trust them a little more as the developer just could of half arsed their efforts instead of working their asses off.

I don't think there will be much difference, but I'm just assuming. I'm sure there's subtle differences but I doubt it looks much different on the Xbox One X than on the Pro. DF has lots of NMS vids as it is, but then again, they like to do fillers.

I doubt it. I've watched videos of all of them and NMSN look way more interesting than the ones you go on about.

Yeah I have. I just finished watching a quick vid on Planet Nomads and look almost the same as NMS.

I'd still take NMS over all of those though.

Had this on the Pro and enjoyed it. Went ahead an prepurchased it last night on the X for the extra graphics bump. Can't wait to give it a spin tonight. For the shit this guy took it is pretty cool that he stuck with the game and kept releasing new content.

No Mans Sky was a good (just massively overhyped) game when it launched, and after lots of expansions/additions, sounds like a great game now. Will be firing it up again soon!

so you STILL think its not possible to learn a great deal about a game by watching a video even though you personally do it when determining if an unrelased game is going to be awesome or not.

its an on going debate as to how some people here think its not possible to know what a game is like by watching a video despite said people doing exactly that.

I will get back into this game after I beat Red Faction: Guerilla with the updates :)

I have a large backlog of games on my Xbox One to play first. Maybe I will wait for a sequel?

This game is boring af.

I've been putting off playing this for years. Still have the collectors edition sitting around, but figured i'd go ahead and grab it on the Xbox for the Achievements. And with the final update, it might finally be the game it was promised to be.

Update is a lot of fun. Looks good in HDR. I had the collectors edition of this game so it's fun to see it finally where it needs to be. Anybody else playing?

You playing multiplayer?

Man they had to release the Deep Space Nine expansion of STO today too.....had to play that first. Managed to get like an hour into this game as well, I like it so far. I enabled the online because of how it was described, that people could discover my base. I saw ships fly above me a few times, I wonder if those are real people or not.

The UI is a little overwhelming at first, but overall it is fairly well designed and the tutorial and quest objective hints do a good job of telling you what to do. Also, I found myself wanting to veer off the path and explore a lot, so the game is compelling to play. It feels rewarding to repair a part of my shuttle, the graphical detail is nice and the game has some cool little touches. You know like just jumping into your shuttle as you are about to lose heat, things like that....the control panel in the shuttle and how detailed it is, etc. It's an immersive game if you like this sort of thing.

Wouldn't play it even if it was free.

After playing it 5 hours yesterday, I gotta say, the update is a huge improvements, I'm enjoying it way more so then ever before. Their are few things I don't like now are, I noticed you cant fly at really low speed on a planet anymore, (slowest was 5 now it's like 20) the slow speed was good if you went past something hit the breaks so you could then just turn instead of going in a huge circle to get back to the spot. The new icon graphics for all your tech and such, so overly detailed, I liked the simpler looks and that's all I gotta say for now at least. Hello Games has in fact redeem themselves, for me that is.
