Are casuals too dumb to know the settings for HD / cables?

I went over to a friends house who has recently got a Nice Sony Bravia HDTV and a PS3.

As he went into the kitchen I checked out the settings for his PS3.

My jaw dropped. It was the same composite Cables that came with the PS3. :cry:

 and it was set at 480i......... Christ It looked like Horse ****.

So I did the right thing and told him to get a HDMI cable and set it up at 1080p.

His mind exploded on how good it looks now.:P

I bet you the majority of people who buy HDTV's or HD game consoles are too Null to set it up correctly.
