I seriously cant believe how anyone would be hyped for this game. Im 18 years old, sure, I have some growing up to do, but I just cant see a grown adult buying this game for themselves and enjoying it for more than an hour. I think this is a game that only kids can enjoy.

My main problem with the game is that it pretty much requires no skill. Its all about "OMG having fun!!!!!1!!"

I can see the countless sheep coming into the thread saying how insecure I am, and how playing games with guns =/= being mature, and how much fun the game looks. But seriously, anyone?

PS: I made this thread because I am kind of curious of what sheep think of the game, I havent seen a single thread about this game, only being mentioned on other threads.

I guess when you can't afford guitar hero... you have to get something... even if its as unrealistic as a music game can get.

It looks pretty simplistic and seeing is there is no challenge whatsoever it doesn't really appeal to me. WSR however looks to be fantastic and I can wai to get my hands on the M+

Yeah, this is the first game in the Wii-series that really feels like a game for young kids. Wii Sports: Resort, thumbs up, Wii Music, thumbs down.

Wow, as a parent I would NEVER give this to my kids, seriously, they will make so much noise with this. I think it will drive parents crazy when it comes out.

I'm not at all interested in it, but I don't really like any Music games.

But why must a game require "skill" to be enjoyable for you people?

*I put the " " on skill because I don't really consider any game to take skill, it's more like dedication.

Skill is required to overcome challenge. If a game requires no skill, it means its not challenging. If I just want something to occupy my time, I'll wash the dishes.

Not even remotely. I read in an interview that this game was developed with the idea in mind that there is no real challenge. Besides, its designed so that familys can play together, and people can just pick it up and have a laugh. Im sure its going to be of the same quality as Wii Sports and Wii Fit... that is to say, probably a very good introduction to gaming, and a polished tech demo, but nothing thats going to stay in the disc slot for very long.

I can flail my arms around to music without buying a game for it anyway. Im much more excited about Wii Speak and Animal Crossing tbh.

If fun is waving your hands in funny motions and pretending your playing a musical instruement then by all means support Nintendo's lackluster software.

I think this is a game that only kids can enjoy.

My main problem with the game is that it pretty much requires no skill. Its all about "OMG having fun!!!!!1!!"

When I was a kid I had fun by banging plastic containers with sticks. I see Wii Music having that sort of appeal. As fun as hitting stuff with sticks. They should put that on the cover.

That's pretty much what it is isn't it? Pretending to play notes as you hear the notes playing? The only actual gameplay of it seems to be "remixing" the songs by changing the pace, volume, adding more notes and changing instruments. I can't see this being entertaining for too long. It's very obviously a casual game meant for casual play. So in that regard I guess it'll perhaps have some success.

What songs are included anyway? All the audio in the demonstration appeared to be ****ty midi so I can't imagine there being any actual real songs.

They have 3 modes one were you do what IGN probably previewed were it is too Simplistic, another were you play drums and play it Freestyle and another were you can actually learn how to play the Drums. I'm mainly interested into the Freestyle mode.

yes because that is great for gamers right? No its not. It tells devs to stop putting alot of money and resources into their game, and pump out the shovelware.
