No, not really. I've seen it hyped around a 7, 7.5. Always has, as far as I'm aware.

It's one of those funny titles that really doesn't have a massive appeal, also, multiplayer only and the graphics being a little sub par. I doubt anyone outside of hyped up Socom fans saw this going above an 8, at best.

I haven't seen a hype thread or hype surrounding Socom. I don't know where he's coming from.
