I too like [reboot] Lara Croft as a somewhat realistic depiction of a typical "hot girl" that--and sorry, this time I will go a bit feminist--boys need to get over. She is not sexualized, but because she is attractive and has big knockers, so we (the royal we) sexualize her.
The video game doesn't treat her as a piece of meat, but I think the players do on their own, in other words. But as a female protagonist, I think she is one of the good ones; strong personality, smart, capable, and badassery gained through opposition.
TL;DR: Lara Croft is a sort of middle ground between characters like Aloy and Alyx Vance, and Bayonetta and 2B. It would be nice if we could gravitate her more towards the "oh, look, a girl. That's cool" side of things instead of the "OH MY GAWD HAWT GIRL LOOK AT THEM BOOBIES!" (of the old Lara).
