Actress confirms Horizon Zero Dawn sequel in development - "It's incredible"

I think most people would've figured that a sequel was in development. It did sell 10 million units. But this is still great news. What do you think, SW? Are you hyped for a Horizon Zero Dawn sequel? I think this has a lot of potential to be "incredible". The improvement from Killzone to Killzone 2 was huge, so I see it being the same case here.

Bonus question: I still need to play the DLC expansion. Did you play it? Was it any good?

I can't get myself to finish the game tbh. Fetch quest games are dead to me. The world is also mostly dead and uninteresting.

Maybe the protagonist grows a personality in the sequel

This shouldn't be a surprise Horizon Zero Dawn would get a sequel. The first game left off a cliffhanger and for a sequel, it would need to come to PS5 anyways since PS4 is near the end of it's cycle.

Same goes for God of War sequel coming to PS5.

Still haven't finished the first one. I got busy while playing it and didn't get back into it. Probably should.

Had this sitting on the PS4 hard-drive for a while.

The main protagonist isn't particularly attractive so prob never play it.

I bought the GOTY edition so yeah, I have. I'd say its worthwhile. The new machines were definitely a challenge to beat. There is also a slight change of setting that is fun to explore. I'd say if you find it at $10 or $15 is worth to check it out.

The new machines were a challenge indeed and you'll be dodging alot. I must admit, I had a hard time with that last puzzle nods, that took a long time to figure that out but at the end of the day, the Expansion was worth the price cause you'll be getting some good loot.

That is no excuse! Go finish it. Horizon Zero Dawn is still my favorite PS4 exclusive game 2017, I'm even proud of myself for making the hype thread back then. I enjoy Horizon way more so then Breath of the Wild.

It was a very good game that could do with more development. The main criticism I have as there are way too many weapons types that were pointless other than to complete challenges. Who ever bothered to use tripwires???

Also more graphic violence, I want the robot dinosaurs to turn me into meaty chunks. Wonder if Hideo Kojima will make an appearance.

Great game, aside from that this generation has been pretty crap, my opinion of course.

Didn't you know? Kojima name was in the credits, he worked on the engine for this game and he's using the HZD engine in Death Stranding. Supposedly, Kojima signed on for a sequel and Guerrilla Games did brought on ex Bethesda and ex CDPR during the making of HZD. Most likely everyone involving will return for the sequel which is good.

Edit: Ten_Pints is talking about if Kojima will make an appearance in the game but similar to the guy who also made an appearance from Quantum Break aka Syler.

first one had a cool world, some interesting mechanics, but the by-the-numbers open world design made it dull to play

Oh, I was just kidding about Kojima showing up as a dinosaur. But now that I think about it, it would be even more badass if Metal Gear Rex showed up in the game, lol! But that's cool that all of these people are involved.

I finished the main game. I had like 15% more to go as far as 100%/Platinum, plus Frozen Wilds, which I never headed that way.

Good to hear. Horizon is a pretty damn good game. I'm playing through the game for a second time now that I have a solid 4K/HDR tv, and i've been enjoying it... Basically just got to Meridian and i'm about 5/6 hours in. The first game is a really good jumping off point in terms of a second game, as it would be great to see them improve certain aspects.

I love her dreadlock hair for the most parts and I think she's okay for what she's given.

Not to be too negative because a lot of people like the first one but I hope they hire some better writers.

Having half a dozen audio logs in one room spouting exposition is not a good way to tell a story.

I think it was pretty obvious that 2 was in the works after the success of 1. I've still to play it but looking forward to it when I finish kiwami 2.

My least favorite highly rated Sony exclusive. Didn't like the characters and found the world to be empty and dull.

I am playing through it now, it is a fun game.

Almost every encounter feels like an epic battle, you need to use strategy. Lay down traps, go for weak points and components, and use stealth.

Pretty good story and setting. Wish it was on PC but whatever PS4 is okay.

A sequel was inevitable. While I really enjoyed Horizon, I think it is a little too early to get hyped for the sequel. I need to see actual footage first. And will it be a PS4 or a PS5 game or both?

I love destroying the zoids! Don't care about the story but it needs more settings and enemies and a maybe more comprehensive weapon system.

Horizon 1 was good game, but SHE was TERRIBLE. Not just her voice is annoying, but lets face it, Horizon was very SJW. Maybe not full SJW like TLoU2 was but damn high. The best thing that can happen in 2 is Aloy dies.

HZD literally made me fall back in love with gaming after going a decade of barely playing any games

I don't play GTAV only III and Vice City, which contained handsome, extremely cool men, other men would want to be.

Can only judge her, and she looks like popeye in a wig. I can see ugly people in the real world everyday, the point of a game is escapism. Even TV adverts don't like using ugly people, nobody likes looking at them.

Unless it's a simulator ugly people have no place in games unless it's a bad person or a side-role.

I think personally they do it to please progressives who are intimidated by attractive people, because most of them are ugly themselves and deeply resent how entitled a life they have lived by virtue of getting it easier, due to being more sexually appealing.

Next time I see one i'll offer them a Baby Ruth.

To me, this reads like someone who plays them (most likely Honey Select with mods) but is attempting to project that guilt in order to disassociate themselves, using a fake sense of outrage to morally falsify self-worth.

The simple fact is, men do not like looking at ugly woman, and vice versa. Ugly people is more something we are forced to put up with, than want.
