This game came out on the same day as Rage 2. It's a AA game but you can see there is so much love and passion behind this project.

10/10 from IGN Poland.

94% positive on Steam.

Reminds me of Dishonored in terms of the world building. Between this and Dead Cells, Bordeaux is taking off!

@vaeh: The devs should be hella proud of what they have achieved. This game deserves a Digital Foundry analysis.

Funny this is, I made a thread discussing the game in "Games Discussion" forum praising about it. Currently playing it on PC, it's TLOU set in French Medieval times and I find the premises is taking over by Rats interesting. That said, I only paid $42 from CDKey and looks gorgeous in 1440p. A Plague Tale: Innocence is my favorite hidden gem so far.

I have been following it since the first reveal and always thought it looked good. I will play it at some point.

I'm going to add this to my wishlist. Currently, have a few games backlogged, but this game looks pretty cool. Thanks for the post.

Does Sean Bean actually have a role in it, or did Focus just bring him in to read that Blake poem for the trailer?

Looks good but I will wait on a price drop, thought about it today when I saw his video and saw game on store, but went with Rage 2 despite my better judgment.

Noone I know who has it has said anything about it. I looked at some gameplay and got the impression that it would be re-using the rat-eating-people gameplay over and over. I might have to give it a try at some point.

No thanks, I need something more than running & hiding, and to me there is nothing worse than having to hold the hand of an AI character through the game.

Sean Bean is not actually part of the game. He's just reading that poem for the commercial.

Feels to "cinematic" for my liking. AKA movie game. I could be wrong. Great production value.

Sounds like the kind of game I'd like, but not enough to pay full price. I'll wait for a sale.

Actually its a walking simulator. I saw a 30min vid on YouTube and after about 5mins I started to skip forwards and it was just walking, holding hands, running from bad guys pretty much all the way through the 30mins

This is not a walking simulator though. You'll won't get very far just walking and this is really a stealth game. I don't think calling something a "walking simulator" is necessarily a bad thing, I have many so-called "walking simulators" (and they're not) that I think are fantastic such as Hellblade. As I said in another thread, despite it's only $45, I strongly recommend waiting on a sale for $20 at most. A Plague Tale: Innocence is a hidden gem for me this year of 2019.

(People don't know what a walking simulator is anymore. They use that term incorrectly from time to time)

It looks great, but I still have no clue what it is about after watching several videos.

What does the gameplay consist of, aside from using fire to avoid the rats?

Loading Video...

- sneaking

- throwing stones to attract guard who do very rigid patrol

- disable guards by knocking them out

- crafting in a wheel pop menu

- lighting torches to remove threats

Youtube recommends me boss fights but that will spoil game for you lol.

It seems like a story-driven stealth/puzzle adventure from gameplay trailers.

@vaeh: Gotta say, I'm a huge sucker for things like worldbuilding and good atmosphere in games.

You saying this reminds you of Dishonored has me interested in this game ;)

I don't know who Jim Sterling is, nor do I care.

Good to hear about the game though. Might check it out. To hear it's like TLOU is a bit off putting though.

That would be the logical conclusion so yeah.
