85 percent of PC retro games are now compatible to Win 10

Well, the greatness of GOG is that they are the ones trying to keep PC gaming rich history preserve for years to come, unlike those greedy dorks at Valve Corp. They have confirmed via twitter that 85% of the PC Retro games are now Windows 10 ready.

It's uses a D&D system and uses it well.

The number is actually 100% and always will be. Even if GOG didn't exist we would still have fan patches and DOSbox. Which is what GOG actually uses on the games.

Someday im gonna try windows 10 and test out all my older games and see how they run. For now though im stay away from it till i need it for something. Basically won't need windows 10 until theres games out there using dx12 that i like.

I mostly had problems with older windows games from 1996 to 2004, some of my games that used windows 95,98,ME are hard to get running on windows 7 or higher. Most of my windows XP games run well on windows 7.

Let me know when PC can get "Castle of the winds" running.

Despite PC's massive power since 1993, it can't even run a simple 16 bit game because windows is 64 bit.

The game is like 20kb and the mighty PC can't even run it. LMAO

OK, stupid question, but have you tried clicking on the "get Windows 10" icon? I was expecting a pop up, but Wednesday night I was curious and clicked and found out it was available. I wasn't part of their insider program or participant in any betas or anything, I had just gone through the steps to reserve a spot back when the icon got added.

I love how games on GOG are already ready to go. Just install and play. Others with minor issues can be fixed easily with minor tweaks. Recently played Warcraft 3. Colors in Cutscenes were awkward. Typed in Google "Warcraft 3 Cutscene fix for modern Operating Systems". Found that by right clicking, going in properties and selecting "Disable Desktop Composition" solves the problem. And it worked. Had a lot of fun with Warcraft 3 and The Frozen Throne. Masterpieces both of them.

Thats what I did..I think I finally upgraded to W764 in early 2011. XP was perfect and so is W7

the reliability and the fact "especially W7" does everything anyone could want..stable,good,OS..no need to upgrade unless you keep up to date with gaming on pc..then it might be good..I dont.
