360 FFXIII to outsell PS3 FFXIII

The Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII is on track to outsell the PS3 SKU by two-to-one – that's the prediction of discount shopping portal MyVoucherCodes.co.uk.

The site comes to the conclusion based on the number of searches made on its server, with interest in the Xbox 360 title running at double the rate of its rival.

Since GOW3 will be coming out it will steal sells away from the ps3 version so i believe that.

Who cares? Everyone knows that the 360 has a bigger fanbase than the PS3. Its not as if the 360 is better than the PS3. According to rumors, the 360 version of FFXIII is "inferior" to the PS3

Most ps3 onwers are waiting for gow3 anyway..I may play ff13 for a week once gow3 comes out, ff13 will collect dust.

Well according to this article more people are searching about 360 version than PS3 version which I guess is bad cuz they will probably know that 360 version is inferior if they searched about it.

idk bout this. the ps3 version is a lot higher in the amazon charts last i checked. not saying everyones gonna get it from amazon but yeah...

Not sure about UK but right now all early indicators in the US are the opposite PS3 outsell the XBOX 360 version 2 to 1. Amazon and VGChartz. Even if VGchartz isn't totally reliable there is a big difference in the pre-order numbers for PS3 over the 360. I know UK is basically all 360 gamersfor the most part. The rest of Europe is more PS3.

Doesnt the PS3 version already have a 2 million head start? Yeah i cant see 360 version passing that.

Oh, I see. Well, it could happen since the the 360 is pretty popular in the UK. I remember 360 MW2 sales just annihilated PS3 MW2 sales in the UK.

Considering the PS3 version has already sold 2 Million I don't see that happening.

From what I've heard, the PS3 version is a lot better.

I would take quality over sales any day...

i really doubt it, everywhere i see ps3 highest sold games, ff13 is always higher for ps3 then 360, and what else do 360 owners have to buy? ps3 has like 5 great exclusives out the past month

There are roughly twice as many 360's than there are PS3's in the UK and USA.

That particular stat is from the UK. So if we just pick and choose countries, not taking install base of that country in consideration...I'm sure we can make an argument for any game.

Bear in mind too, that there will be Western Xbox FF13 bundles to help sell the game and Xbox360's. Bundles sales count.

The real key is that overall sales Worldwide, still.

The PS3 version already has an astounding Two million sales lead from Japan alone, that's going to be tough to overcome in the west considering it will still sell on both platforms, and most multiconsole owners that research FFXIII know the PS3 superior version is by far the version to buy / purchase.

That being said, if one were just to isolate the sales in JUST the UK, I guess it's possible to make the claim in the OP...maybe. Otherwise the OP is just seems to be entirely incorrect as it reads now, looking at today's sales, and moving forward.

As far as the PS3 version being of superior quality (Gameplay, Resolution, Graphics, 1080p CGI, Sound, Content, etc.), I'm not sure the game buying general public will even be aware of the PS3 version's superior quality. That definitely is going to help the 360 version sell, unless some sort of information campaign is made for the general public, which I doubt will happen.

I think overall the excited fanboys are going to get very, very confused about FFXIII sales and general sales posts at the end of the day anyways. Im sure it all boils down to trying to take ownage at anything at all.

I don't care too much about sales, I'm just throwing some information at this thread for folks to digest.
I didn't make FFXIII, so I don't care about FFXIII sales, I just care to play it.

I think most people with the option will buy the Ps3 version, mainly because of better audio and 2 less discs to handle. I think the 360 may still sell more because cross-platform games usually sell better on the 360 due to more systems, but IDK how large the FF fanbase are for 360 owners.

No matter what, it's gonna be great.

Your right and it will be my second FF game. My first was crisis core if that counts lol, hope the story is as good as it because i LOVED so much.lafiro93

if they had said the x360 version would sell on par with the PS3 version, there would have been a one in millinon chance i could believe them. But 2:1 , that's a loooooolllly material.
