2nd Place belongs to the PS3.

1) the Wii is a fairly horrible console to own by itself, inferior graphics and physics, and outside the SMG games, not too much quality either.

2) the 360s failure rates, up until like 2009, marred it irrevocably - many people who bought them regretted it as they felt like they bought some sort of ticking bomb doomed to explode on release of the next big exclusive.

3) the 360s live fee, if you owned one since 2005, great, you spent the value of a second console atleast on online fees, what a joke.

4) the 360 seems to have gone into game decline eariler than the ps3, to be fair it launched earlier, but I'm more inclined to blame Kinect...but that's ok cause gamers wants Kinect games right? RIGHT?

5) the ps3 exclusives kick ass, there's a lot of them, and a lot are newer than the 360s - standards improved, they're better games. we all know it, and if not, just go to metacritic.

6) the PC is king... it always is, deal with it. The consoles can't compete with games like Starcraft 2, Football Manager, Amnesia, TF2, WoW, Shogun:TW, and soon BF3. So you have to have a PC, ok established. So what should I partner my PC with?...the best option of course, the PS3, what a silly question. Is this hiding behind the PC? lemmings always say it is, I say it's common sense.

IMO the above trumps the SW meta-game, which get's used as a smoke-screen.

I don't really care about sales races to be honest, I enjoy my console. Anywayboth PS3 and 360 are pretty neck and neck in terms of sales and there are plenty of people to play with on both PSN and XBL so I don't think either online network is "winning" in terms of players. They both seem to have the same.

but when it was marked down to 300, it just flew off the shelves...but yea i think it's 2nd place..i guess.

From a personal point of view, PC >> 360 > PS3 >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Wii.

PS3 would techinically be better than the 360, but a) I don't have any friends on PS3, b) I like 360 exclusives more, c) For some reason it feels like multiplat games are better on 360, and d) I personally can't stand Playstation controllers.

But I don't think the PS3 is a bad piece of hardware. I just don't care for it. And 360 has better exclusives IMO Halo counts for like 3 PS3 exclusives in my book.

I have a gaming pc and ps3, and i think its the best combination.

I also have the wii but i play it rarely.

As far as consoles go I would say 360=PS3>>>>>>>>>>>>>Wii

Wii - Started strong. Currently has burned out. Will probably still end up #1

Xbox - Likely finish in 2nd place. Very small possibly it might overtake the Wii depending on how much longer MS leaves it on the market. They said they have an 11 year plan for 360. So if Wii is cut off in the next year and there a big price drop, Overtaking the Wii is a possibility. There's a chance.

PS3. Will end up in 3rd place due to Sony arrogance and mishandling of the business side of things for the PS3.
