Maintaining a slight edge over historical Xbox 360 sales will always leave the PS3 approximately a year behind.
It cannot catch up to Xbox 360, let alone pass it, without beating current sales. This is a mathematical truism.

It is going to beat the 360 worldwide in the month of March by a good bit so that is going to be a start.
That's good. Can it do it in April and May as well? For the rest of 2007? Because if it doesn't start consistently outselling Xbox 360 soon, it never will.
