That FINAL FANTASY XIII STICKY didn't help educate SW on this topic, because lots of people are finding this out for the first time.
Yes, the PS3 has many advantages for this game, including Graphics in CGI/FMV and gameplay. It is what it is.
EDIT :
Surprisingly, I suppose some people don't know this. Besides the TC posting his link, that Poll Indicates that people think the 360 version is superior.:?

People, just settle down, this is a bit of fun. There is no ill will intended fun. : P
It is. It has been confirmed by Digital Foundry and users on Beyond3d. PS3 has a higher in-game display resolution and higher cutscene resolution.Ummm... isn't this an already known fact?:?

People in SW like to state the obvious for obvious reasons.
Which, oddly enough, aren't obvious.

How are they not obvious? If I made a thread saying "360 RRODs" or "PS3 games sell less than 360 games", the reason for posting the obvious would seem pretty obvious would it not?

Obviously, he thought the obvious reason you gave was obviouse enough yet for some reason people can't grasp the obviousness of the situation and still made these kind of obvious posts. You should go with D) all of the above :P I don't think the differences are much of an issue though. Personnaly I prefer 1 disk (not because of disk changing, but because if one disk is damaged/lost I can't play the game, that happened with my FFVIII  ) Besides, even if you prefer the 360 controller, it shouldn't matter since it's a turned based RPG where you mainly use the Dpad in combat (which is superior on the DS3)Knowing this. I still bought the 360 version which makes me:
A) a badass
B) stupid
C) awesome and utterly handsome
I would have to go with C as that sounds about right:D

To be honest, if you lost the 1 Blu-Ray disc you would be in the same boat as if you lost 1 of the DVDs :).

^^ how was that a fail :?lawlessx
I think he's referring to the comparison pic which doesnt look accurate at all on the 360s part.
^^ how was that a fail :?lawlessxLet's see. Why didn't he mention the better framerate on the 360 version? Why didn't he mention the free gamerpics from unlocking achievements? (In my opinion it isn't worth mentioning, but he mentioned a free "theme" for the PS3) Why did he put a bullshot next to the 360 shot? If the game was THAT different in the looks department, I'm sure Kevin V would have given the PS3 version the better score. Did we all forget that Kevin V reviewed dragon Age? the differences were smaller than what SolidTy is showing us, yet gave the 360 version a lesser score, even with the better framerate.
It's not like SolidTy is know for these kinds of comments or anything.. ;)
[QUOTE="lawlessx"]^^ how was that a fail :?themyth01Maybe trying to prove superiority with minor differences such as graphics and disc count...
Well, he's not wrong but he also seems to be getting a little out of hand trying to prove said superiority... for, you know... a manticore..

point taken..didn't really notice the nitpicking on his part. Did the GS review mention the 360 version having better framerate? i don't recall kevin mentioning it in the video review.
also that ps3 screenshot isn't bullshot pic.

Dude. That's not a bullshot. The in game cut scenes are pretty bad on the 360. The FMV's are horrible too. Complete compressed poop.

The PS3 shot isn't a bullshot. That image is from Digital Foundry. And Digital Foundry's framerate analysis, where all they give is the minimum framerate during a real-time rendered cutscene, is contradicted by Lens of Truth's framerate analysis, where they give average framerate in both gameplay and real-time cutscene situations, where the performance was either the same in both or marginally better in the PS3 version.
The differences aren't gamebreaking, no one should pretend they are. But the differences are there and no one should pretend they aren't, especially in the full motion video and pre-rendered cutscenes.

If it is or isn't doesn't really matter. There's no way the differences are that noticeable. The 360's score wouldn't have matched the PS3's if it was THAT bad. Anyways, we all know the PS3 version is the unofficial better version, but I was just pointing out SolidTy's fail for a so called manticore. That is all. I know his game. :)You don't know what you are talking about regarding me. :| I got those screens from Eurogamer, and there are more than that, lol. There's no Bullshots, lol. So you got up in arms about me using Bullshots, when they were real? lol. Kevin V. is one guy what he does or doesn't do doesn't make the world go round. If you want to argue with those that claim GS messed up the review, as that's a topic, go ahead. That doesn't change my post.
I only put in the EDIT after my post due to the POLL's results, the TC's question, and the fact I know that FFXIII's differences aren't as widely known in SW as the FFXIII sticky prevented the knowledge from spreading at SW.
I didn't mention better loading times (Lens) on PS3 either. That screen wasn't bull, and you are wrong.
I know your game.;) :)

I posted the reason for the EDIT (lack of knowledge, TC's question, and Poll results), but some of these guys are really upset like they ported FFXIII to the 360 themselves, and I'm attacking their masterpiece.

You bought it on 360 as you said in this thread, so you would definitely be the one to know. It's just one of those things.
You don't know what you are talking about regarding me. :| SolidTy
If you say so. I was just pointing out that if the differences are THAT noticeable, Keven V would have reviewed the game like he did with Dragon Age. You willing to argue this? I pointed out that we all know the PS3 has the edge visually, but the other crap you wrote about was laughable for a proclaimed manticore. Why didn't you mention the contest you can enter for free for playing the 360 version of FFXIII?
Nah, I know your game. :)

You keep on bringing up Kevin Van Ord as if he is the end all be all of the world. Other people are already arguing this all over, I'm not taking part. I don't care what Kevin V. does or doesn't do, I never just look at one review and think, that's it. The Definitive review. That's doesn't exist.
We obviously don't all know FFXIII's superiority on PS3, as you can see, look at the POLL, the TC question. The FFXIII sticky didn't allow the spread of Info regarding FFXIII in SW.:o
You didn't port FFXIII, so no need to get so excited.8)
I also didn't mention the better loading times on PS3 either, I wasn't about to go hog wild, lol. Cool marketing like contests to win some action figures for buying inferior ports may be cool to some, but it's marketing, lol.
Either way, where were you when I was arguing Bayonetta on PS3 being subpar? :?360 Bayonetta FTW!:D Yeah, that's because I know your game, lol.
I was just pointing out that if the differences noticeable, Keven V would have reviewed the game like he did with Dragon Age.That's an assumption. The game may have simply been reviewed with gameplay more in mind, with less weight on the graphical differences. It doesn't mean the graphical differences are any more or less noticeable than those of Dragon Age or Fallout 3.xsubtownerx
Are you trying to claim the differences are so negligible that they don't exist? Because to reiterate the differences aren't gamebreaking, no one should pretend they are - if someone wants this game and only has a 360 it certainly shouldn't stop them from buying it.
But the differences are there and no one should pretend they aren't, especially in the full motion video and pre-rendered cutscenes.
