There is one problem with FF13 and that is we dont know how good it will be, it may turn out to be a disaster, so it would seem they would be better of making a remake but by doing so it isnt giving the fans anything new so you decide what would you rather have? FF13 which could be brilliant or a disaster or FF7 remake which is one of the best FF's ever, polished better than ever, but the same old thing which everone has completed before. you decide.8)
well i haven't played FFVII before but after i played kingdom hearts and heard of the manygood things about FFVII i have wanted to play it but i dont know where to get (and i don't use ebay) but if they hold off FFXIII that means that they can work more on the graphics and gameplay but couldn't they have 2 different parties work on the 2 different games?

Well we dont know how good the Final Fantasy VII Remake would be either. Square-Enix would have to change a lot of Elements to make the game really work for the Fans an this COULD Turn out to be a Disaster. So i would have to go with Final Fantasy XIII (Also Versus and Agito).
Square needs to stop living in the past and start pursuing the future. FF7:AC, FF7:CC, FF7: DOC and all the FF7 references in Kingdom Hearts should be enough to satisfy our FF7 needs (I would hope). Enough already, just get on with it Square.....

Agreed. No point in Square-Enix trying to Milk as much out of Final Fantasy VII as they can and just focus on the Future. That is where the Big Bucks are.

Yeah i agree. They are Milking everything the can get from Final Fantasy VII and they are going to ruin it in the near Future. I sincerely hope they dont remake it because IMO they will Destroy it.
Well considering the fact that XIII looks stupid to me, Its to futureistic for my tastes, I'd rather have VII, its allready great, so I think they should do it

It is a Risk that they are NOT willing to make (well from the news that i found, that isnt the case). The Remake wont beable to live up to the Original and with that, ruin the Experience.

FFXIII easily. You want FFVII because you think it's garanteed to be good? Well guess what, it'll only be as good as or inferior to replaying the original (which is still good but not as good as an entirely new game). If they don't stop milking FFVII (my second favourite game BTW) my opinion might change from rest in peace to rest in piss.

Yep, i think that they should just pick one of the FFVII games that is going to be made. Maybe the remake, Before crisis etc. They already have the FFVII movie
I will have to say VII. Because VII was first of all my favorite Final Fantasy. And second I would really love to see it with better graphics, and maybe some new materia added. FFXIII looks okay, but I don't think it will be as good as VII was at all. VII might not have been revolutionary, but it was probably the best done Final fantasy. But all of this is just my opinion.

How would you possibly even begin to know what it could or would live up to, Taking a great game like FFVII and improving graphics, adding to the story, and Improving battles, would not "ruin the experience". It would take an all ready great game and simply make it better, not worse. The mere thought that it could ruin the game is an ubsurd thought (no offense, I understand everyone has their opinions).
I would prefer for Square Enix to just forget about Final Fantasy VII remakes and spin-off all together. Final Fantasy XIII looks amazing already, and to recieve a game of such high quality would be a dream come true to us gamers.
