The problem with baseball is that they play so many games a year each individual game loses value and importance. Maybe it is a little boring to watch on T.V. however it is fun to actually go out and play baseball.
Yea I'm not a very big fan of baseball, and I'm really deprived of sports in the summer. I can't wait for the new hockey season. Baseball is fun to play, but I just can't really get into watching games.
Baseball gets sometimes boring on TV but it matters what teams your watching, If yourwatching the Red Sox play that will not be too boring. Baseball is very fun to play in real life.

I agree. I love watching the games in person (happens very rarely since I live in Utah and only go to San Francisco every onw and then) but on TV it's horrible! Plus, they play WAY too many games. I can't wait for football to start! Baseball is fun to play but it's very lame to watch...
Actually I don't like watching football. All of the showboating and celebration after every little play ruined it for me. I love baseball though, except when I watch guys like Manny or Alphonso Soriano.
I think MLB have the worst commissioner in all sports. Many people are loosing respect for the players because of their steriod usage. They also play too many games which make each games less important.

As much as I don't like the commissioner, MLB also has the worst and most powerful player's union that historically fights every attempt to advance testing in any way shape or form. It isn't like the NFL where the league tells the NFLPA what is going to happen and the NFLPA just take it. The MLBPA fights just about everything and have only recently shown signs of weakening their stance on drug testing.
Me. This time of year is always the worst. Nothing but boring baseball on. I turn to Golf and Tennis during these times. Can't wait for Oct - Nov. Football, Basketball, Hockey, oh my! And at least it is playoff baseball by then.

FTW. Lots of people blame the commish for the drug testing, and maybe he is partly at fault, but the real power in baseball belongs to the MLBPA.

Baseball video games are hot, but watching the game itself is just murder.I keep up with baseball through Sportscenter highlights. Someone pitching a shutout is great to do in a game or if you play the actual game, but gets boring to watch, just like the Spurs...
I like BaseBall. Always have. To say that they play to many games and that everyother game comin up is unimportant, is just crazy. BaseBall is just as important as any other sport. In my opinion, hittin a baseball is the most hardest thing to do in sports.

Baseball is a great game to watch and play....if you know and understand the essence of it. The game is timeless, wood bats, leather gloves, wool hats...it's a game of tradition and a game of finesse. It's a game about seconds, close plays, dedication, taking it for the team, giving up your body to make a play to help your pitcher. It's a game about pure skill.....you have to have quick reflexes, you have to focus, your mind is always on and in the game. Its a quick thinking game, .4 seconds to determine where the pitch is, how fast it's going, what kind of pitch, and if you are going to swing or not. To be a baseball player is to do something, that although can be slow at times, is a complete athlete. So next time you question if it is boring to watch or it's easy think about that 91 mph slider that is at your head, but you know it's going to break into the zone, and you have to stand there and watch it.

I don't watch weekend Fox games that have the predictable Yanks or Sox matchups, because I simply don't care about those teams and I get enough of them on SC. I will, however watch a Mets/Phillies matchup only because it involves an NL East matchup.
i have to admit, for as much as i think baseball is boring, i've always had the atlanta braves in my heart. i grew up in the area and cherished the days of john smoltz, greg maddux, and tom glavine. i loved baseball as a kid and then one day i suddenly turned to the dark side and divorced baseball. i'm now married to football and basketball and our relationships are working out pretty good.
