I prefer NBA simulators like NBA 2k games. NCAA football is always fun as well because of the many teams to choose from, NCAA 2006 was the last good NCAA football game so I haven't played much of the new ones since

YES! I love rugby, been playing it for years, and I love rugby video games, I'd buy a new one first day... Anyways, my favourite current sports games are all Hockey games, especially nhl 2k9.
Man, how do you have a poll like that and NOT include baseball?!? I love baseball games - the MLB The Show franchise is the best one out there right now (can't wait to pick up MLB 09 on March 3rd and get my spring training action on!). I'd say that baseball gets about 80% of my sports gaming time, with Madden picking up the remainder.
It's football games! I have been playing them since I was like 10!!! I didn't mind playing the other main sports (baseball, basketball or hockey) but football has always been more fun!
I love most sports games but from my experience Soccer and Hockey games have always played the best. Football is close but Madden has had some famous glitches. Then B-ball until recently baskebtall games played terribly with alot of glitches and oddities in player motion and movements. Baseball is the worst, every baseball game i ever played has been flawed with glitches and whatnot. And the games take far too long imo throwing every single pitch gets annoyinh after about the third inning.
I don't really play sports games anymore, but my favorite type is NHL. Baseball is my favorite sport, but I prefer to play NHL video games. I think they are the easiest to control. Just my opinion.
It use to be Madden until EA cared souly on the graphics then actual gameplay. I don't know what to think anymore to tell you the truth. I thought EA was having problems with the GPU and 3x/8x Cores of the Processor. You go back to Madden on the PS2/xbox from 06-09 they'er failing to hit editor choice awards.
Not only did they screw over the next gen Madden, overall Madden isn't what it use to be. Such a shame.
I enjoy Madden games the best even though Baseball is my favorite sport. MLB games are usually full of bugs and baseball's complexity of sabermetrics and batting physics usually make it very hard for developers to make the game correctly.
