I would agree with you in some ways about that fiesta bowl game. Had some great trick plays for a come back victory, but you forget that game wasn't even for a National title. Which would have made it even better. I still think the Fiesta bowl National title game Ohio State vs Miami was much better. Nothin better then a game that that goes to OT and is for the National Championship.

The best one I've ever seen either live or taped was the 2006 Orange bowl between PSU and FSU.

That game escaped my mind. That one was the best.

In hindsight, Isay it was Miami and OSU a couple years ago. Ed Reed, Sean Taylor, Willis McGehee, Johnathan Vilma, Jeremy Shockey(I think), and countless other future NFL superstars in a closely contested game with one major vomit inducing injury? What more could a football fan want? The 2006 game is a close second though, for nearly the same reasons. 8)

You must be joking... that game was awful and capped off by kickers that couldn't hit a thing. The officiating was lax and the action was dreadful... I'm a PSU fan and glad they won but that was an awful game to watch. Heck, the OSU / ND game was better and most of the time they showed AJ Hawk's wife / Brady Quinn's sister.

Now, the title game that year was phenominal. Action, suspense, two teams playing at their prime, that was a great game. Or OSU / Miami from 2003.

You people have never seen a great bowl game! Alright here it is, November 23, 1984 Orange Bowl Boston College vs Miami. Boston College was the underdog. A high power offensive game down to the wire. Ball on Miami 48 yard line, score 40-45. Just enough time for one final play. The ball is snapped and Doug Flutie scrambles around and chucks up a 48 yard Hail Mary pass that goes through three of Miami's secondary and into the arms of Gerard Phelan in the endzone for a 47-45 victory over Miami in the Orange Bowl. Now that was a game. 8)

2007 Fiesta Bowl.

I'm not a big fan of college football, but I was up and cheering when Boise State did their hook-and-ladder play.

That was a really good game but it's a tad overrated. I swear it's always the college highlight they show but a couple years before there was an even better comeback with a similar pass in it. I'm talking about BYU vs SMU when a guy named Eric Dickerson played for SMU and a guy named Jim McMahon played for BYU. Look it up, it's one of the greatest comebacks in college football history! The Cougars are getting thrashed and then with very little time mount an incredible comeback. Obviously it's overlooked mainly because they are/were smaller Division 1 teams but the players were good and the game was amazing!
